Yep, he's been a bit of a breath of fresh air. My favorites of his have been his 1923 and 1883 series.

Certainly seems like BRK has some kind of bets against the market since the stock seems to rise on big down days for the overall market.

T65 is turning 65, the age when most start their Medicare A & B coverages. If you're going to work past 65 and hang on to employer coverage until you retire, you would just get part A started as you T65 since it's a no-cost-to you benefit that you've paid for through your work history taxes. You would then hold off on starting part B(outpatient coverage) until you get ready to retire and come off your employer coverage.

It's the most comprehensive supplement available to new T65 folks. It's about the only thing I write for my clients who want a supplement plan. The only thing you're responsible for as long as Medicare covers it is your outpatient(doctors, tests, etc.) annual deductible which was $257 this year. There are no networks to worry about, so you can go to any doctor/facility anywhere in the country as long as they take Medicare. Keep in mind that the coverage on a Plan G regardless of the company that offers it is the same from company to company....only the price they charge is different. You'll also need a stand-alone part D drug plan with a supplement, and possibly a dental/vision/hearing plan if need be.

as a roman catholic, this really doesn't concern me as i believe the entire protestant reformation, was the inspired work of satan, so the fact that it's dying it's natural death just 400 scant years later is not surprising good riddance! it's dying in america too!
Bwahaha....so however aboiminable this is, you think it's any worse than all the Catholic priests molesting young altar boys through the years?? Religion is man-made, and yes, all the protestant offspring that left the Catholic system during the Reformation have lost the reasoning of the founders who came out, and will eventually join back with the "Great Whore" mentioned in Revelation 17-18 which God will ultimately destroy. By the way, Baptists are not protestant since they never came out of the Catholic system, and as the other poster mentioned, can trace their lineage back to John the Baptist.

BRK.B as a contrary performer?
Posted by Cajun75 on 10/15/25 at 9:44 am
Seems lately it doesn't ever participate in market rallies, but ends up gaining a little or only declining slightly on down days. Are they hedging or is their cash position just too large?
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Looks like the Economy and US Park are both around $12 per day which is nearly half of the cost of Long Term parking at the airport!

Thanks....any opinions on Rightway parking? Looks like they use local motels, but only 1 or two have shuttle service looks like.
Just returned from a week-long trip and was a bit shocked since I haven't flown in a while to see that it cost nearly $200 for that amount of time in long-term parking there at MSY. How do other park options compare for long-term parking cost? I don't live nearby the airport so Uber isn't an option. I suppose if I were going for more than a week I would be better off renting a vehicle for a day to drop off at the airport and renting again if I could drop off in my home town area.

I was expecting some kind of market selloff/correction that hasn't materialized, at least not yet. It wasn't the only one as I sold half of several other high fliers which haven't gone up nearly like HOOD since then. You just never know.

It's certainly had a great run.....I bought some at $39 and ended up selling half of my shares a few weeks ago around $107 after getting a 175% increase, only to see it now go up nearly 30% more, LOL.

and I'm currently "pre-approved" for their Rapid Rewards card. Just wondering how long it takes to submit the pre-approved application before being able to use it for the free checked-on luggage benefit, or if that would have had to be done when I booked my flight a couple of months ago?

I don't have much in this, but if an acquisition goes through, I imagine that's a good time to sell rather than have your shares possibly go through some kind of merging situation with the buyer's stock? Any thoughts on what you guys are looking at as a criteria for selling?
