Seems that something has caused a complete reversal this morning.....

Not much of a bounce for me at least today....up less than 2% on IRA and down about 1/5% on brokerage due to NBIS pooping the bed.
Woof....worst day in a long time....

Down 8%+ on IRA and 5%+ on brokerage today. All you can do is laugh at how much faster it can go down.....escalator up and elevator down.
Just saw a $2,000,000 fine....
Thanks for info!
I've always bought Dell computers since I purchased my first one in the late 80's I believe at a Sams Club. Just purchased my last one a month or so ago to replace my previous one. Wish I had purchased Dell stock yesterday!
Bought a few shares two weeks ago and it's up 85% since then!

Great book and great writer with with other great titles to his resume including The Three Musketeers, and The Man In the Iron Mask. I happen to have a couple of his titles from the Easton Press.
Just got some at $50.44.....
Someone mentioned FATE Therapeutics on here a while back as a recommendation from some acquaintance of his who were dumping large sums into this stock around the $1.10 level. At the time it was mentioned here, it was somewhere around $1.60, so I watched it for a while and it went all the way down to under $1.10 and I bought just a little at $1.18 probably a month or so ago. Today it's $2.42 if anyone's interested in taking a look at it. I don't have any good information and only purchased based on the big investment by the people mentioned who were supposedly in the know.

Threw a bit more at it mainly since it's a name in my family, LOL.

This board is priceless. sure i did many on my own but this board has made me lots of money on stock picks alone!
This....make it easy on yourself. Put a good majority into broad ETF funds such as VOO and QQQ. Figure out what % you want to put into a few individual stocks to start, then you can increase that amount if you wish as you become more confident. I've been able to basically double my investment portfolio in the past year by going with ETF's and stock picks mentioned here. Of course I had a great start time by investing during the tariff aftermath a year ago!
It's nearly doubled in the last 2-3 weeks.

Yep, along with WDC and STX that I purchased near the beginning of the year. Kicking myself for not also purchasing SNDK also since I it was too high at $700, LOL.
Amendments on the ballot?

What's the conservative position for these? I usually just vote"no" if I'm unsure.

Exactly!! God certainly doesn't NEED our money, but we NEED to be willing to give it. After all, "every good gift" comes from Him. In Malachi 3:8 God says...."Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings."

It seems Grok has those two photos backwards.....the blurry shot is indoors....the clear shot is outdoors and sunny.

Yes, the wife and I never get drinks at fast food places.....we bring it home and drink water.
Yes, on introductory subscription offers, I'll put a reminder on my phone to cancel before the period ends. Can remember15 years ago getting $1 hamburgers for me and my three boys at McDonalds and total meal cost around $7!
Eat out less!! I see some guys eating out twice a day. I never had a problem brown-bagging it.
Don't have a car note. I've actually never had a new vehicle and never a car loan.
Don't smoke or drink alcohol....saves lots of money and helps your health as well.
If you can be very responsible with a credit card, get an Amazon card for your purchases there for a 5% giveback for Prime members, a Walmart card for 5% there with Walmart+ subscription, and a cashback card for everything else. Have had 2% cards for years and just got a 3% card from Robinhood.
My wife has cut my hair my whole adult life, and I cut my 3 sons' hair until they were grown and gone. Figure $50-$60 per month for 20 years!
Make as many repairs yourself around the house that you feel comfortable doing, cut your own grass, and clean your own house.
This may sound oxymoronic, but if you're a Christian, make sure you are tithing. God won't be outgiven, and if you're doing it with faith and the right motives, He will bless you in ways that you can't imagine. I've personally experienced this for 50+ years.

Congrats on the retirement....don't forget to honor the One who made it all possible for you to have what you have by attending a bible-believing church on the Lord's Day.
