I have always been a Hank Williams Jr. fan so when I got my last dog, a pit bull rescue, I named him Bocephus. Mostly call him Bo now but when I need his undivided attention I will call him Bocephus. He knows that means I want him to do something.
Yeah didn't he post SMD on twitter or something? Apparently he didn't like the fans talking bad about the team and the game LOL! I am sure plenty of Aggy fans will offer to take him up on his SMD comment.

re: Ed Orgeron spending that 17 Million

I know that you can only see the skank from behind but based on the heavy middle section and the bleach blonde hair I would think that 17 million would rent a higher quality skank.
Preacher man says it the end of time and the Mississippi river she’s going dry. The interest is up and the stock market’s down and you only get mugged if you go down town. I live back in the woods you see, just my woman, the kids, my dogs and me. I got a shotgun, a rifle and a four wheel drive, and a country boy can survive.

My Maternal Grandmother Cooked awesome cornbread dressing and her seafood gumbo was legendary. If fact our church had a booth selling gumbo at the county fair and they would make hundreds of gallons during the week long fair amd it was my grandmother who cooked all of it. I can get fairly close but I cannot replicate her gumbo.
Sounds like he drowned and then was eaten. Jeremy Wade got into a swimming pool full of piranha and they showed no interest. He also swam with them in the wild and same result. But put some dead meat in the water and it’s a frenzy.
I think many common people figured out pretty quick that many people, especially the elderly patients died WITH Covid and not OF Covid. It was pretty evident early on that the Gov’t/medical industry were padding the books by classifying any death with a positive Covid test as a Covid death. Like the guy in Fla. killed in a motorcycle crash but tested positive in autopsy so he was listed as a Covid death. fricking crooks and gov’t hacks

God Damn King Cobra
Lafourche parish lifted the mask mandate last night. Still encouraging mask wearing. We were already following the quarantine guidelines anyway so this was easy and a no-brainer.
We just reverted to our original return to school plan prior to JBE’s mask decree. fricking idiot!

I know it can be done, hell the germans used wood gas to power vehicles toward the end of WWII due to lack of oil. I also know it is a pain in the arse to set up the gasification contraption on a truck or car. I bought a diesel pickup truck years ago and learned how to make biodiesel. I also store a good bit of used cooking oil and regular highway diesel fuel.

I figure I can make biodiesel if and when I run out of stored diesel. It really doesn't matter how old the oil is because when you convert it to biodiesel you have to wash the mixture several times to get the contaminants out and make a better burning fuel.
I saw someone further up mentioned redfish. They are now a problem in the marsh. Almost any day I can put my boat in the water and be back at the launch with a limit of reds within an hour. Several times I decided to keep a couple and they were slap full of baby specks. Now I don’t know how much predation of this sort goes on but I would imagine it’s pretty common. Multiply that by millions of redfish and to think they eat nearly constantly means they are probably a significant predator. In addition to the specks I think the over abundance of redfish are also hurting the crab populations.

Hell before Paul prudhomme came along fricking reds were considered trash fish. They used to sell them for fertilizer and cat food. Then the blackened redfish craze hit and they nearly wiped them out. When the strict limits were placed on them and they stopped the purse seines and fill nets the numbers exploded. I don’t target them much but that to me is where the limit should be raised rather than lowered.

In my opinion vacuum sealing is fine for 1-5 years storage. If you wish to maintain good quality, buy buckets and Mylar bags. Place bag in bucket, fill with rice, beans, etc. throw in a few chunks of dry ice and when it has sublimated mostly and filled the bucket with CO^2 vapor, then seal up bag. Packed like this they will be there a long time and the CO^2 helps kill off any bugs that may already be in the bean or rice.

Just my 2 cents
I’d go with Art Cantrell followed closely by Ramsey Dardar. That motherfricker is crazy enough to keep the bad guys off lol.

I guess you would be absolutely right on the surge height. I guess I was thinking they got the surge we did in lower lafourche but being on the west side of the eye would have made a huge difference.

Never fished it either but I would imagine that the marsh is pretty messed up with lots of debris. If you go be very careful. Ida brought in a big surge in that area and moved a bunch of stuff around. Hell we have 70-100 ft shrimp boats laid in the marsh and bayous in Southern Lafourche parish.
I haven’t checked out Bason’s or Fourchon. I should be able to get to Bason’s now so When I get a look at basons I’ll let you know.

re: Ground hornets suck

I have managed to get into 3 different nests of ground nesting bees. Once I was on a tractor spreading dirt piles down. Apparently the yellow jackets had built a big nest in the dirt pile. I jumped off the tractor and ran as soon as I saw them pouring out the ground and only got hit once. I fixed that nest after dark with a bottle of gas, no fire just gas and that killed them. A few years later I was bush hogging along a big drainage ditch when all of a sudden I started getting stung. They hurt like hell and kept chasing me until I got about 100 yards away. Same fix that night. These were not yellow jackets they looked like bumble bees and they tore my arse up. The last time was damn yello jackets again and me and my son were playing with my dog, throwing a ball to him and he would run and retrieve it. Well, he disturbed a nest and they came pouring out the ground. They swarmed the dog and them me and my son. I had to run in and grab the dog to drag him away because he had simply laid down and was yelping and crying every time one got him. I ended up with 25-30 stings. My son had 15 or so and the poor dog had at least 50 stings. Brought him to the vet and he gave him a Benadryl shot and some steroids to take for a couple of days and he was fine. I was in misery for a day or two. I know there are at least two different species of ground nesters and they ain’t all yellow jackets. But I have never seen a true hornet in the ground just in those big arse paper nests.
Hey guys,
Saw someone asking about the Leeville boat launch. I had nothing to do this morning so I rode down to Leeville from my home in Cut Off. I expected heavy damage and my expectations were sound. There is simply not much left of Leeville. Gails bait shop is gone along with Boudreaux bait shop are simply gone. I couldn’t even recognize exactly where gails was even located. I would guess the launch itself is fine but the limestone road into the launch area is washed out and I could t even get to the parking area. I don’t expect that to be fixed for quite awhile since I’m sure it’s low on the priority list. The pier is gone from what I could see. It also looks like most of the camps around marsh masters are also simply gone with only pilings left. There are a few camps that looked ok but they were above the surge. Even those looked to have sustained pretty heavy wind damage but they are still there. It’s fricked up but I don’t think anyone will be launching at the public launch anytime soon. Bobby Lynn’s was also pretty much destroyed but I saw some guys launching work boats there this morning. I don’t know if it’s open to the public or not, it’s just what I saw. A very depressing ride.

To top off that little trip, there was a real bad wreck on 3235 in the Cut Off area that happened at one of the sites where the utility ompanies are picking up timber’s that they had laid down so the linemen could access the poles in hard to reach swampy type areas. Looked like a Nissan Titan hit one of the trucks lined up with the crew picking up timber’s. It looks like he just plowed into the back of a stationary dually pick up and never hit the brakes. Anyway the Nissan went airborne and ended up a pretty squashed piece of metal upside down in the ditch.
