I was going to grind the whole thing…

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the fat content of a whole brisket?

She wasn’t kissing a prince at the end. She was kissing that yellow dress.

Beauty and the Beast Existential Crisis

I was watching beauty and the beast on Disney+ yesterday with my kids, and it struck me…maybe Gaston isn’t the villain. Maybe it’s Belle. Villain may be a stretch but she’s definitely no hero-princess. She’s actually a terrible person.
She enters the movie singing that classic Disney song where she talks about living in a “little town” full of “little people.” She think she’s better than them? These industrious people are just trying to survive in rural France. “There goes the baker with his tray like always” like it’s a bad thing that he’s on a bread route meeting peoples’ needs. So immediately she’s rubbed me the wrong way.
Then, she falls in love with the beast ONLY when she discovers he’s got a big library and a pretty dress. She’s all about Belle.
Hard to watch the movie after that.

re: Take the purple and gold glasses off: Is LSU a Top 5 Job in the Nation? Why/Why not?

Tier 1-Bama
Tier 2-Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC
Tier 3-LSU, Georgia, Clemson, Texas
Tier 4-Auburn, Michigan, Texas A&M
Tier 5-Ole Miss, Florida, OU
Tier 6-Oregon, Arkansas, Penn State, Tennessee
Tier 7-Wisonsin, Washington, Nebraska, Iowa, South Carolina
That’s my opinion. So I’d say yeah, we are potentially top 5 depending how you look at it.

It’s absolutely a better job.
I don’t mean to be sacrilegious, but Conecuh is the only sausage going in my gumbo

It’s perfect. And the size of it works well in gumbo.

re: Would Lincoln Riley make everyone happy?

I think everyone would been on the Riley train.
The more I sit here and think about it…the more I think it’s going to be Jimbo.

We were SO close to getting him the first time. He and his wife both love Baton Rouge, they still have a ton of connections and close friends here. Most of all he’s tapped out of talent at A&M. Too much competition in Texas.

You’re probably right. Probably just a huge coincidence….
Wheels Up Flight Scheduled From University of Oklahoma to Baton Rouge Today.

I heard through the grapevine that Lincoln Riley is being given some serious consideration, so I did a little research and found a flight scheduled from Norman to Baton Rouge and it’s Wheels Up.
I know many people and organizations use wheels up, but it’s also the main source of transportation for the NCAA.
I think it’s going to be Lincoln Riley.

We need to start playing more mid-week games.

We are REALLY missing the ball with this one. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night games are prime time—absolutely zero competition on TV! Why have we not gotten on the bandwagon? TV is where the money’s at. Also we get every ounce of national exposure.
If I’m a recruit and a recruiter tells me half our games will be Thursday night prime time games on TV, I’m in. Kids these days are all about the attention.
I think the sunbelt, specifically ULL, has done really well with this; and if Napier ends up being “the guy” I hope he brings these kinds of progressive ideas with him.
