re: New military recruit jobs when signing up?

As two previous posters stated..... Agreed 100%. Recruiters have goals to meet and are given incentives for filling certain MOS slots. Tell your son to tell the recruiter to 'pound sand'. ....... infantry slot or I dont report.
re: Evacuation Route For Hurricane Season
Posted by Bayou Warrior 64 on 4/29/26 at 8:17 pm to LSUSportsFan2000
A lot depends on your location along the coast, the current location of the storm, and its projected path (to east or west of you). Ideally you want to remain on the western side of the landfall spot.
If you are on the east side of the storm, you need to remain quite a distance from the center's projected landfall area given you will be on the 'dirty' side (usually more rain and tornados). If so, you should evacuate west beyond the storm's landfall spot (less rain, tornados, and usually winds drop off much quicker than on east of center). If you will be on the west side of the storm, but near its landfall area, you need to remain thirty to fifty miles west of the projected landfall area.
Bear in mind, it is not uncommon for the projected landfall spot of the storm to easily shift ten to thirty miles east or west within eight hours of landfall (or less). In short, probably the best direction to evacuate is to go north. Get away from the coast and potential flooding from rains and storm surge. Plan ahead. Be prepared! Most people who die from hurricanes are as a result of flooding.

Sorry dude. A couple of weeks ago LSU MBB had a 'slim to no' chance. At present, given their most recent misfortunes, their chances are NONE. I hope you are right, all the planets line up, and they win it all. Cheers!!! :nana:

I was a bit worried going in. Most of the reviews I read were the movie was 'meh' at best.
I am a history nut, and really like the European Theatre of World War II. So I was very interested to see it. I have watched it twice since it came out. While not fantastic, it was good. I thought the acting, storyline, etc., was very well done.

I haven't seen such an uninspired group of young men in a long time. They showed some improvement from last weekend (although the quality of the opponent last weekend was far superior).

He is a major POS! We can thank King Obama for most of the ills of our society today (i.e., health care, Iran, D E I, ghettoization of cities, WalMart type workers EVERYWHERE). :pimp:

Agreed! I was speaking with a friend about this early last week. He did not disclose any information regarding the operation. Merely doing as Congress does and benefitting with a little knowledge. Clearly a double standard.

This is NOT a gun violence issue.......
This is NOT a youth /young adult violence issue......
This is a young black male problem. Its root likely has to do with the absent father figure in most of these families. This is compounded by the other problem, weak arse judges & DA's that feel sorry for these evil souls.
