re: Saints made a great decision passing on Shedeur Sanders

Drafted a what? He won't ever change. The experience has been drama filled since the beginning. Deion still hasn't grown up.......this kid will piss away his chance at the NFL with some bonehead decision.
re: Saints pick Kansas RB Devin Neal

Why do I feel like he's a Kamara-esque RB. He has patience and waits for blocks, and deceptive speed. Reminds me a lot of how AK runs the ball. I like his foot work and he wraps the ball up when he's about to get hit.
re: Greg Cosell evaluation of Tyler Shough

I think two things that I am a fan of when it comes to Shough is his height and arm strength.
I don't believe we've ever had a QB this tall (Winston 6'4") is the closest I believe. I think Moore saw something he liked in the kid and feels like his development has potential. Only thing I can't agree on is that who will he learn from, or sit behind? If Carr is on the way out, Rattler and Haener have nothing to teach him.
Maybe that's why we went O-line in the first round? Beef up the line and keep the kid from getting happy-feet and doing stupid things from the pocket? Who knows?
Picked up Olave's 5th year.........signed Cooks.........still have Shaheed. Who knows what will happen? I personally would throw Shough into the fire and see what he can do. Let him, Rattler and Haener battle it out in camp, but you have to take in the age of the kid too.

Position Swaps

Is there anyone on the roster that you all think should be moved to a different spot to assist their strengths instead of exposing their weaknesses?
For instance when we had Baun. Do we have anyone like that on the roster currently?

re: Saw this stat today. I wish Drew Brees had a defense man

The losses against the Seahawks, gave up huge plays........losses against the Vikings, miracle pass and push-off in endzone.......games shouldn't have been that close in the first place.
Loss against 49ers that defense was HORRIFIC. Any defense shows up, we win that game by 20 points or more.
Loss against Rams, same thing. ANY semblance of defense shows up and we win that game outright AND another SB.
Loss against Tampa......4 turnovers will do it against ANY team.

Realistic Record for KM first year

Say everything stays the same except for whomever we draft. What is a realistic record for next year with Moore at the helm?
re: Kamara's future
Posted by JRE1980 on 2/11/25 at 8:43 am
I guess besides Cam Jordan, I feel like he would be one of the other guys that was SO close to getting a Superbowl. I agree with seeing what Moore can do with him. Who knows? Maybe he just needs a fresh start.
Kamara's future
Posted by JRE1980 on 2/10/25 at 6:21 pm
So I know a lot of people are saying Kamara is done in New Orleans, or that he's washed up. I for one thought he was older, but Barkley is 28 and Kamara is 29. Does Kamara finish his career with the Saints, or move on and become rejuvenated like Barkley?

You know what I mean........I misstated the term. Unnecessary roughness, unsportsmanlike etc.....
Missed targeting call?
Posted by JRE1980 on 12/30/24 at 8:21 am
Did anyone else see the shot that Scantling took in the 3rd quarter? It was a dropped pass and while being tackled, one of the Raiders clearly threw a forearm shot to the head, somewhat reminiscent of Burfict did to Brown years back.
re: Saints at the top of Davante Adams wish list per Schefter

And then when he starts throwing fits on the field and sidelines, what then? If he doesn't get the ball, he'll start becoming a problem more than any type of solution. Waste of a pickup.

Would suggest getting a workup at your PCP. Wouldn't look online for help or request thoughts from others who aren't medical professionals. This could be something minor, or something major.
Go get labs done and tell your doctor about what happened and how you felt, and currently feel.

Was it just me or was Ruiz getting blown up last weekend?
re: Did y'all think they were going undefeated?
Posted by JRE1980 on 9/22/24 at 4:12 pm
This is true. Look at Tampa losing to Denver.......last week Dallas losing to us, Atlanta beating Philly.......
Meh, 2-1 is a decent start. Divisional game next week and start 3-1.

All things considered......

Ok, we all knew that this offense would not average 35-40 ppg. Someone along the way would figure out how to stifle us. BUT, the defense has stepped up big time, as well as special teams today. Blocked punt, INT in the red-zone and forced fumble? All the while not really getting pressure on Hurts (due to missed holding calls).
Kubiak will have to make some adjustments after today in case this happens again. The front line of Philly has some big boys.
I guess just be grateful that we have a top 3 defense and we're up 3-0. Right now, a win is a win.

re: How do we defend the rushing ability of Jalen Hurts
Posted by JRE1980 on 9/20/24 at 11:27 pm
Even if he breaks a few runs for big chunks, he can't do it ALL GAME LONG. If they can contain him a few times, he may call off the idea of running, especially if he gets smoked by someone.
I believe that this game will be won by the offense, if they can put up the #s like they did for the past 2 weeks.
Even if the defense allows 20+ points, if we put up 30......then hey, put another notch in the W column.
Crowd noise will help too, so I'm anticipating a lot of false-starts.
