Weird quote considering he literally quit on the Dolphins

Saban was a pioneer in that department also. Before him, when a person got a job as a football coach, he never left that position during the rest of his working life.

It was an antiquated system that demanded that you only have one job in the coaching ranks.

Saban blew that old system apart and said to the nation that it was okay to have more than one job in coaching.

He didn't play by the rules and by doing that, he opened up a lot of opportunities for other coaches and assistants, etc... to move around and take other jobs if they wanted to.

The man is a trailblazer in more ways than one. Before Saban, the only way coaches could leave their current football related job, not matter what it was, was in a pine box.

Upon finally being lucky enough to get a job, coaches would say things like "the only way I'm leaving here is in a pine box".
The spokesperson for the SEC, Sir Nicholas Saban, Jr., recently stated this:

quote:

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.”

By saying this, Saban is expressing his love and admiration for all SEC teams and players and fans, except probably for LSU and its players and fans because they want Saban to die and hate him because he left them to coach Miami.

What a great leader the SEC has during these trying times. Leaders lead and strong men are strong when it counts, not when it's easy.

Saban feels like it is his responsibility to lead the SEC right now and to make hard decisions and that is exactly what he is doing.

He cares for all of us fans too. He doesn't want us to suffer and to have yet another joy in life taken from us.

Let's all pray for Saban, the whole board, and praise him for his strength and foresight at this time in our shared history.

God bless you, Nick Saban, you are bigger than just Alabama, you belong to all SEC fans, most of them anyway.

You likely haven't had sex with your mom or any other woman in over a year. Does that mean you just sit around with your thumb up your butthole? It's likely that is what it means.

This board needed some new perspectives and Not Altie seems to be just the brand new poster to give it

Many times in life, as one becomes subsumed with themelves and believe that the world revolves around them because they post non-stop caustic bitterness on SEC Rant, it is good to come back down to Earf on occasion.

As you mentioned, I am new here and I also feel a new perspective can be encouraging to anyone here that may be stuck in a miasmic haze that posters like Ted, WilliamTaylor, and Pokey spew onto the site in continuous effusions of darkness and gloom and hatred.

I have learned, in my time lurking, that this site can be so much better than that and better than those types of posters.

Where are the late 90's paintshop graphics?

I don't know about all of that but, I am having an idea to possibly create a sig. file showing Saban stomping on the virus with players from all SEC teams gathered around in celebration.

Might take a while.

I have a feeling this is one he’s been sitting on.

Wow, okay, whatever. I'm Not Altie, as the username clearly states, so, if it gives you a thrill to imagine every other poster is someone named Altie, go for it I guess.

But, somewhere inside you is a real person, WilliamTaylor, and I know that you can act more normal if you wished and not just be an Altie Chaser.

Just say some normal stuff every now and then and be a little more friendly to everyone. This board isn't life and death serious stuff, you know.

I'm ordering mine right now, 12, they look really great. See, this is the kind of thread were people can just enjoy themselves.

There isn't any need for all the animosity that so many here show to each other for no reason, really.

As an Alabama fan, I can certainly laugh at myself in a good-natured way. The people here who have mean and vicious attitudes need to cure themselves.

Just try to ignore the same old lonely ones who keep repeating the same old vitriolic stuff. Life is too short.
SECUNIV, calm down. I'm Not Altie and not anyone else; I'm a new poster. This is a light-hearted, non-trolling, post meant just for posters to have fun with.

There is no seedy motive behind it. Lighten up. It's just fun.
Hi, Mojo. I can really see Alabama getting another trophy for the exemplary behavior of Saban during all this mess and for the Alabama players who are all in.

Alabama and Saban, once again, are leading the way.
Thanks, Tuscaloosa. It seems Saban is really the only alpha male out there right now saying, basically, let's get this shite started and do it.

That little midget is a bigger man than every single coach in the nation.

Alabama's situation with the lockdown

If the season were not to be played, should Alabama be given the NC for being the most prepared, most ready, and most willing to play the game of football with a coach who is leading the way in trying to get the season started normally?

I think so.

Saban, thus far, has earned another NC just for the effort he has put into trying to persuade the powers that be that the kids deserve to be on the field this season.

Someone still has to win the NC, even if the season is cancelled, and Alabama and Saban and Alabama players are currently the only ones really showing love for the game.
