don't shoot the first 120" buck you see. I hunt nodaway county. You are right that you are a little early but still should be good. hunt timber and bedding and hopefully you are near beans/corn and a river...

good advice. There are some good hotel options in Newnan right off of the exit. Newnan has the usual BWW and Taco Mac but also has the square downtown. I'll second this, although they get the reputation for not being as prey driven as other dogs mine will hunt till he dropped dead. One thing to consider is they are definitely velcro dogs so if you dont like being followed around the yard/house at all times may not be the dog for you...

Weather can be fickle that time of year and the shallow spots will likely have been pretty well picked. If you have kids I recommend trying mini-season. If you are deadset on October just be aware of the wind. ...
