NO! I cannot imagine!

I’m an LSU fan, and I can confirm that LSU fans are the worst EVER! Most LSU fans like to call the fan base passionate, but I say we are mean as HELL!

I now watch all games from my chair! :rotflmao:

Said, “No one, EVER!”
They played against Notre Dame in 2021, didn’t they?

And Daddy Saban taught Kirby everything he knows.
It doesn’t make sense to put FSU ahead of GA. FSU would definitely need to be ranked after GA if we are talking best teams.

re: Jake Pootz has ruined Max Johnson

I absolutely can tell you that Max isn’t being coached correctly by Peetz. It will all come out soon enough! PEETZ IS 100% THE PROBLEM!

LSU currently +6 in Vegas for Saturday
I’m hoping for once Peetz calls a game like Daronte did against Bama and pulls out all the tricks and things we haven’t shown all year. At this point what do you have to lose?

Peetz can’t do what he has no clue to do.
Peyton Manning: "The quickest way to screw up a young quarterback in my opinion is giving him no continuity, no stability. Keep changing systems and that's how you ruin a young qb. "

Describes LSU OC. Not to mention, he took a big job like this with NO PRIOR experience.

I hope I’m wrong, but are you suggesting we start a walk-on QB in the teeth of SEC play to “save” Max and Nuss?

Yup! You’re not wrong. Does anyone think we have a chance in hell of winning the next few games?

UNLESS we get a new OC immediately, then why use our best QBs? Let Peetz “LEARN” his play calling and OC position without our best.

Deepest QBs in Country???

If LSU is really one of the deepest quarterback groups in the entire country, then let’s use one of our unknown QBs.

Max and Nuss are our two top healthy QBs that we need for 2022, so we NEED to give them a rest until a new OC comes in to coach them up properly and undo the damage done. We don't want to expose them to Peetz’s incompetence any longer.

1) LSU is not paying O $10-21m plus a buyout of all the guys mentioned here

Kifin
Fickell
Day
Christibol
Franklin

Napier IS our guy, but he ain’t coming for any less than the other guys?

Unlike those other guys, Napier has already turned down numerous Power 5 HC jobs.

Max's arm strength is limited, and he throws rainbow deep balls. His delivery is late, and footwork is awful. Nussmeir may not fair much better but he deserves his chance to try. I'd rather see the gunslinger mentality than more of the Johnson show.

Until we get a legit OC, then we DO NOT want to mess with Nussmeir’s head.

We have a lot of damage to undo with Max. It ticks me off that the he went from looking so promising last year to looking like he’s lost hope.

Russ Calloway from analyst to OC would be a failure. And if Orgeron told Peetz he had to take Calloway as PGC because he promised it to him….we would be roasting Orgeron for that too.

Not saying Calloway didn’t deserve a better role but hiring a new OC, you have to expect he’s going to bring his own guys like Mangas. Orgeron still sucks but this is a little bit of a reach.

Disagree. I think Callaway could have handled OC or at least PGC way better than Peetz. He had 5 successful years as OC/QB/WR coaching experience and coached QB Devlin Hodges (won Walter Payton Award 2018). He also coached back to back championships at Alabama for Saban on the defensive side of the ball with Kirby. He has proven he can call plays. Peetz doesn’t have a record of doing anything worth mentioning. You want an OC or play caller, then at least hire one with an inkling of experience. Peetz isn’t even in the same caliber as Callaway. Max is losing confidence with Peetz.

The same thing happened with Karl Dunbar, one of the elite D Line coaches in football- and an excellent recruiter to boot.

Callaway was also an excellent recruiter. Didn’t he have a lot to do with recruiting Nuss?

re: The problem is Peetz, not Max

“It’s important to remember that Jake Peetz and DJ Mangas have never been play-callers before.

Peetz didn’t get the offensive coordinator job because of his reputation as a coach — he got the job because he was on the same coaching staff last season (with the Carolina Panthers) as former Tigers passing game coordinator Joe Brady.

That could end up proving to be another ill-advised hasty hire by Coach O.”

No, Coach E is not consulting or coaching at LSU. He is not on the staff at all this year.
False. He’s not one of the 10 formal assistants but he is employed as an analyst. He was on the sidelines in LA.

He’s allowed to interact with coaches during games (can’t with players) but he hasn’t had the headset on. For better or worse he clearly isn’t involved on game day.

I can’t believe y’all still think Coach E is helping in any way at LSU. He is NOT employed by LSU. He had enough when they brought in the inexperienced staff. People appreciated him too late. He is living in LA but not coaching.

Coach Ensminger
season would be gone. he would fill in until repalacement hire is made. not sure he would even take it tho. he is only an analyst now and is not listed as with the 10 assistants

Coach E isn’t an analyst….he isn’t even on staff at all! He does love LSU, but I’ll bet the only way he’d return to LSU is to first build his on staff—-meaning all new coaches.

Man you are so right! This board and Tigerfan were merciless on Ensminger. I know 4 college coaches who had to defend E's offenses and they all said E was hard to defend and an excellent OC.

Wish he was back full time

Amen!
