I believe it is because the modern high school football recruit does not enjoy the country music allure that is Tenessee's biggest draw. Kids these days are more concerned with rap about drugs and voilence than with classic Christian and family undertones of country music. Kids these days would prefer to go to a USC with stars like Snoop Dog than go to Vanderbilt to see classic artists like George Strait. Id say its a shame but I think Louisiana having a good rap history with Lil Boosy it definitely helps us pull in recruits.
