It looks like we have brought Van Burden in to not sit on the bench, but actually play this coming season. I expect these 3 dynamics out of him.

1: Packages in the offense to do more with our weapons. Defenses have to account. We have some of the fastest guys in the nation this year. No way BK/sloan can afford to play basic ball again.

2: obviously insurance policy if Nuss goes down.

3: If Nuss is having an off game or we need a change of energy , we have someone to come in for him. We are not in the playoffs because he didn’t use his legs in the USC, Florida, and A&M games.

Cause Nuss has been showing us who he is for years now, even in his limited snaps. You could see signs in the other guys that they were good, and were going to be even better as time went on. Nuss has showed that no matter the situation, their is something going on his brain that just doesnt analyze common sense plays and holds us back.

It’s 2024, you need a dual threat QB or at minimum a QB that others respect. We’re an offense thats suppose to be 3 dimensional, not 2. We’re held back. Opposing defenses are mostly going against 3 dimensional offenses, and when they play us..its much easier to guard.
