Flott will probably play the outside in place of Fulton, I suppose. Got a nice group of corners with Ricks coming.

re: Buga or Clyde? who ya got?

Would have been awfully fun to watch Buga in last years offense. Especially in certain games. Kevin Steele’s 3-1-7 would not have been an option then as we all know Auburn DBs did not care for tackling Buga. That being said, Clyde was perfect for Bama. It’s hard to say which one id choose in NFL without knowing the scheme. Clyde will do great for the right program. Could be a Kamara type player.
Zach Mettenberger? Freak Johnson? Maybe Sam Montgomery?
No kidding. We don’t get Saban. Brees doesn’t come to the Saints. Football in LA would still be all about high school mostly. Crazy.
Can anyone name the last time we went in to the Swamp and Jordan-Hare and won both games? That’s a jump I’d love to see us get over. This is what has often doomed us in even years.
I actually understand your logic. However, Aranda never came off as a great recruiter either. And NFL ties “may” mean something to some kids. I would have liked us to have gotten Frank Wilson or someone like that to help in some capacity though.
No offense to Brennan, but I remember hearing the exact same thing come out of ESPN analysts about Brandon Harris. Tight Spirals are awesome till they fly over your receiver’s head, bounce 5 feet in front of them, or end up 4 feet behind them. On another note, I think Brennan will be fine. Before he leaves, it wouldn’t shock me to see him make all conference, which would be awesome.
The point Arik is “too big” will be when he’s no longer athletic. Growing will not impact that. So what if he’s 6’8” 270 and runs and jumps like a freak. He’ll do things at the position that’s never been done. He has the potential to be the best tight end we’ve ever had at LSU and maybe more.

Just because a player is 280-290 now doesn’t mean he won’t be 260 by fall. The question is the height. Most defensive ends in 4-3 are tall. Glen Logan and Neil Farrell could probably play the end spot next season.

There may be a Justin Jefferson situation out there as well. I think the 2020 season is crucial. If we have a solid season after losing the players and coaches we’ve lost, it will prove to everyone that this season was no fluke offensively and O will really get the respect he’s yet to completely get.
Some of these guys will end up good players elsewhere, but we can’t be “too” focused on Louisiana. I’m thrilled that we entered into new recruiting areas for a change and came away with some good players. We want to be able to go get the best in the country, not just 15-20 of the top 30 kids from in state. Now, also believe that sometimes there are diamonds in the rough that really want to be at LSU that will work their butt off to play. Russell Gage was never supposed to be more than a special teams guy, and he’s the third wideout for Atlanta. DJ Chark, Justin Jefferson, and Others come to mind as well. I love pulling some local guys that “want” to be here. However, we need the guys who are the best regardless of where they are from.
Well, by now, Kiffin would have left for a head job if he had any success at all at LSU. So, I’ll take what we got...even that brutal Matt Canada season.
Honestly, I think Taylor ends up being a nice surprise as well.
If he’s Cecil Collins part 2, I’m signing him and taking my chances until he screws up. That dude was a beast.
He ain’t getting drafted. However, he’d be a nice UFA to add and see how he does. He’s a great team guy.

Rumor has it that it’s Pellini, but they are trying to figure out if his brother is coming too or staying to coach Youngstown State.
Their arch rival almost lost in overtime to ULM. That’s how far down the ACC has fallen. There’s only one team over there right now.
Florida and Auburn were always the ones I hated the most until Saban go to Bama. Now, A&M is entering the equation. I guess I’ll say Florida.

Streak

My son was born just days after the devastating mess that was the ATM game last season. Since then, LSU has been undefeated. I know it may seem dumb, but it’s like he’s my lucky charm. Here’s to hoping this streak lasts an eternity.
