I would warn you that it can get colder then you think in November down here, but given that y'all are from Scandinavia I don't think you'll have much to worry about.

Haha, yeah you're right about that

We have all visited Memphis before, but thank you anyway. We will only be in Starkville for 2 days... going to Auburn afterwards for the Iron Bowl :)

... and we will actually go to see the Razorbacks play football.... in Baton Rouge the week before.
Thank you very much for all the great recommendations. We have now made reservations at Tyler the day before Thanksgiving, and we will definately swing by two brothers smoked meats... we all looove wings!

Spending Thanksgiving in Starkville

Hey there :)

So, we are four footballfanatic gentlemen from Scandinavia visiting TX,LA,MS and AL next month, and we'll be in Starkville for the Egg-bowl on Thanksgiving. This is far from our first time in the US, but it is the first time visiting on Thanksgiving.

Do you have any suggestion on how to spend the day? Should we just go to the tailgating at the stadium, or is there anything else going on, which would give us a more true Thanksgiving experience?

This is one of five games on our trip, so there will be a lot of opportunities to tailgate elsewhere.
