re: Brian Jonestown Massacre Tonight?
Posted by bard_of_brew on 11/1/23 at 4:04 pm
Ended up being a really good show, we got the real Anton experience in person too. He had a fan in the front row tossed out for yelling "Happy Halloween" one too many times in between songs....

Hitting the sold out BJM show at the Toulouse Theatre in the Quarter tonight. This will be my first time seeing them live. Anyone going?...

I am hitting both nights for my 5th and 6th shows, super fired up. Leaving NOLA on Friday afternoon and zooming over there. I think there are a ton of afterparties going on in MobTown too for late night debauchery. It should be a grand ole time getting Strung Out.

Vincent's, New Orleans

I am hitting highly-esteemed uptown Italian joint, Vincent's for the first time tonight. What do I need to order? What can't I leave without trying. I have been hearing a lot of about the cannelloni and the crab/corn bisque bread bowl....

Wild Wild Life from David Byrne's 1986 film, True Stories. John Goodman even has a role in the flick. Directed by David Bryne and soundtracked by Talking Heads, it's a bizarre hour and a half full of catchy tunes.

The Specials' self-titled debut album is chock-full of mad brassy ska.

I couldn't agree more. Byrne has proven time and time again to be one of the most electric frontmen with limitless talent and ability....
