Most people here instantly "reacted" as if I was insane/crazy to s u g g e s t / c o n s i d e r perhaps "starting" Landon Clark against Ole Miss. If only for a series or 2 to "see" what his upside/downside might be. For we already known what the actual downside (3 interceptions in one half + obvious rusty passing/completion performance) CAN be with Leavitt. And that was against sub-par, poor teams AT HOME! I explained that we could not afford poor passing, interceptions against Ole Miss.

We also KNOW that Landon Clark has been practically perfect @ running our offense, with clearly superior passing; and that was while playing with our 2nd/3rd string! So, the whole point is that we don't know what Clark's upside potential might be. Some players, especially highly skilled positioned players like QB's, just have a natural ability to rise/peak perform under pressure duing games. That is a simple fact. We have also, however, seen that, so far, there has been no downside or negatives from Clark's QB performance. Therefore, with Sam somewhat struggling to "connect/sync" with his receivers, overthrowing, etc. and to generally "settle down"......and with his 3 interceptions......I "wondered" if perhaps starting Landon Clark might not be an ingenious possibility.

And the board went APESHIT.

I also explained that I would not be surprised one bit if Lane/Weis might not be thinking the very same thing!? And now we mysteriously see Leavitt listed as doubtful! Yes, Lane might be screwing with them. But this could be, perhaps, a method to offset/tame the "public ridicule tiger fan freak out & misunderstood strategy" of thinking 10 steps ahead over any decision to "try" starting Clark over Leavitt!?

Also, since there is obviously this huge Ego aspect involved in being listed as "starting" (it should be NO big deal, especially when it could be immediately changed/adjusted after a series or 2 to see/find out and maybe WIN the fricking game by thinking out of the box!). Keep in mind I did'nt say start, exclusively play and finish with Landon. Read my actual words, rather than speculating, assuming and freaking out! So, since Starting/Not Starting carries some Huge weight with sidewalk fans, which is stupid, listing Leavitt as "injured/doubtful" may provide "cover" and to "save face/ego" over not starting.

It's sad how this has to be logically, carefully explained as to the possible merrits, advantages of utlizing, trying another QB to perhaps strike gold. But despite it being spelled out again, 87% of those here will still freak out with "Worst Post Ever". "frick off & Die". It's hillarious really.

Am I thinking like Kiffen, or is he thinking like me by listing Sam as "doubtfull"?! In any event, regardless, these thoughts, ideas of mine about allowing Sam to "think about it", while also finding out just how good Clark might be, are and will be, like before, light years ahead of the sidewalk troll reactionary fans here with 150k ++ posts that populate this forum.
