Both sides have been acting in what appears to be against their own self-interests. It's strange.

Neither Wade nor his atty is out there defending him. There may or may not be more leaks implicating him in the future but those leaks would hurt him whether or not he denies everything today. So he might as well deny...now. If problems arise and IF he gets subpoenaed (that's a big if) he could plead the 5th.

With LSU, they allowed the NCAA to bully their way into any possible meeting with Wade. Why would team LSU allow themselves to hear Wade's responses for the first time in front of the NCAA? Why not get his answers first, and get their story right? That's nuts.

You're right. Dawkins is/was a known scumbag and Wade shouldn't have come into ANY contact with him. He should have done what everyone else does and have assts doing the dirty work.

That said, he's been here long enough to know about the AD's skeletons in the closets (or in children's hospitals) so Aleva better keep that in mind when and if he's terminated and his buyout is negotiated.

Actually that's a good plan. Wade leaves with a fat settlement and LSU's report shows due diligence but no evidence of wrongdoings besides vague excerpts from two tapes.

Maybe the BOS stuck their noses in the Wade stuff because they're pissed about the OLOL scandal and no longer trust Aleva and King. They've known about this since last year. I wouldn't be surprised life frick and frack'a days are limited.

THIS is the reason he's not talking. He doesnt know what else they have. But it has nothing to do with the possibility that he may be called as an adverse witness by the defense at a trial where he hasn't even been subpoenaed.

IMO he's hurting himself. He's letting the narrative be written by Dawkins and the press. He should at LEAST have his attorney speaking on his behalf.

If more tapes come out later, he'll he hurt whether he defends himself now or not.

Plus with the OLOL scandal breaking, he no doubt has dirt on LSU. He can leverage this against LSU in settlement negotiations and to tell LSU to STFU.

It would be very surprising for the FBI to ask this of someone who is not their witness but instead someone the defense may call (he has not even been subpoenaed yet).

Considering Wade has said he has done no business with Dawkins and that nothing on the tapes we've seen is relevant to either trial (that's why the first tape was excluded in the first trial), I doubt he'll be called as a witness. The tapes were released by the defense attorney becauseit won't be allowed. He's attempting to taint the coaches and rehabilitate his slimy client.

Speaking of the slimeball Dawkins, no doubt the FBI has many tapes of him with many other coaches (I believe they have tapes of 3 Dawkins/Wade conversations) no doubt they'll be leaking a lot more tapes as the trial grows near.
