You should read 1984 by Orwell. It will explain everything.

Why does a knife need a seat belt cutter? Seems kind of redundant.

The Kleinpeter family doesn’t have millions of dollars?
They owned half of Baton Rouge.
Why don’t you just tell us what law was broken.
The reality is developers change their plans all the time to squeeze an extra buck to the detriment of the city. Why do you think they have apartments in their plan? It’s the easiest way to make money. Now they are mad the city changed their plans. Boo hoo.

Never said what? I’m giving you an example of how the average St. George citizen is going to view your argument. Half of them won’t even understand what zoning is. The other half aren’t going to give a frick that a family with hundreds of millions of dollars is going to make a few less million on their next deal.
Did you really expect people here to be upset about this and want a VA hospital and more low rent apartments in their city?
You are pretty damn dense and it tells me you are either a Kleinpeter or somehow involved in the deal since your perspective is so warped.

Tell it to the judge.
Working class people don’t want to hear your sob story that the Kleinpeters are going to make $25 million instead of $30 million on their development deal because the city doesn’t want to junk up and over populate an area.
Why is that hard to understand?

No one is even mentioning the fricking VA hospital that is right there on the plans?
They are just going to drop a government hospital next to these existing homes. And that is going to make traffic awful.
The Klienpeters have enough money. I don’t have any sympathy if they lose this one, the land isn’t worthless. Just can’t be used the way that they can extract the most money with no regard for everyone else.

Must be.
Can someone explain it to me like I’m 5… how is the ncaa preventing athletes from making money? What is stopping a player from playing in the Canadian league or just walking into an open NFL tryout?
All the NCAA is saying is that if you want to play in our organization you have to play by these rules. Just have every player sign a contract with the ncaa before they start playing.
If you don’t like it then go walk onto a NFL team.
In that perspective it’s obvious colleges are giving a lot to these students even if it’s not monetary. They are giving them exposure and basically an internship to professional football.
But that’s not enough, it’s never enough.
Internships in college get paid very little for the work they do but you are sacrificing in the hopes that you will get a big job with the big company when you graduate.

I couldn’t disagree more.
We know exactly who is causing the trouble. 99.9% of them have prior convictions.
We can walk in any school and they can tell you who the problem is. It’s ignored and then it snowballs later.
The mall shooter got 2 months of an ankle bracelet. That is ignoring the problem. That is zero effort to correct the problem.

Are shootings at lsu football games and the mall of Louisiana up or down?
We all see what’s happening. The brazen shootings in public, not just the ghetto. The drag racing and burnouts in nice areas.
No one gives a shite about your overall US statistics. We live in it.
Go ahead and tell us you read Better Angles of Our Nature by Steve Pinker and now you think you are smarter than everyone else here.

It’s not gorilla warfare.
The kid who shot up the mall discharged his Glock in school 2 months ago and was given 2 months of an ankle bracelet. And yall are ready to throw up your hands and say we can’t solve this?
Discharging a firearm in a school zone is a felony that can get you 10 years.
Alternative reality:
1. Kid discharges gun
2. Bring him in and say he’s getting 10 years unless he gives us the names of all his friends who have guns. Tell us who the beef is with, etc.
3. warrants to search all their houses and cars.
4. Take all the guns and lock everyone up.
Our current policy is rehabilitation. Everyone here is correct, it is cultural rot. As soon as we decide that rehabilitation isn’t possible this issue will end.

No one has even attempted it because society mostly doesn’t care if they stay in the ghetto killing their own.

There are no war crimes in total war when you are facing annihilation. The winner decides who committed “war crimes”.
The idea of “war crimes” is meant to control the proxy wars and skirmishes that we have seen of the last 80 years. These are wars of financial control and influence.
Real war has no rules

It's not that hard at all. You can easily find out who the gangs are like the bleedas and bottom gorillas. These are low level thugs with no code. frick the wire, I guarantee you they are all ratting one their friends if the punishment is sufficient.
After you take out the gangs you go to the schools and start breaking the cycle. I could walk in any school and within 5 minutes they can tell you who the worst1% are. Keep tabs on them and as soon as they frick up you put them away.
It's going to take 20-30 officers or 3-5 million a year. By what is your city worth? That's nothing for the big businesses here.

I agree. Which makes it even easier to dismantle them.
Most of these “thugs” are total pussies these days. They close their eyes and pull their Glock switch and can’t hit shite but innocent bystanders. They fricking paint their finger nails and have anxiety dolls for christs sake.
You infiltrate the schools and neighborhoods with informants. Pay them well. I guarantee you every school and every block knows exactly who the trouble makers are. You keep eyes on them at all times. As soon as they step out of line you throw the book at them and put them away.

Correct. And the reason is we are afraid of total war. We went to wipe out the Nazis. We nuked the Japanese. We went in 100%. Not some half arse regime change. And I’m not saying we should go into the Middle East 100%. I’m just saying there is a difference.
And it parallels with the black violence issue. If we went at it 100% it would definitely be solved. Instead we do half arse measures and reactive policing.
There is plenty of data to show that broken windows policing reduces crime.

I find this infinitely more infuriating than random acts of violence by crazy people or terror attacks. Because it is so predictable and an obvious result of a culture everyone is afraid to condemn all because some people of the same skin color were slaves 300 years ago.

Hey I think I’ll go hang out at the mall now and ride around north Baton Rouge because SFP said the violent crime rate is the entire US is lower than 30 years ago!
