Depends on the hunt. I don’t subscribe to having to match camo so it’s a mixture of solids and camos.
Majority of the time I’m in brown carhartt or dickies duck pants with a first lite base layer merino wool camo shirt.
If I’m covering alot of ground or hug...

I would go where there is a chance of a monster. If the place is laid out and managed for deer then just being there during the rut is worth the experience if you have never done it. ...

I don’t hunt it anymore but a few things I did that worked.
Hunt right next to a parking spot I mean if there is a thicket 75yds from the parking area hunt it.
Look for thickets that hold deer near a road but has no parking spot mark them with your GPS. You may have to walk along the road for 1/4 ...

Backcountry wall tent on horseback for elk and mule deer- going in three weeks.
Backcountry public land diy Montana- bought a point last year and buying one this year hopefully draw in 2025.
Mountain goat mountain caribou- 2027/2030.
Kids are almost grown and had several good friends pass talking...

I and a few buddies have had some tactacams that are going on over 4-5yrs now and can’t say a bad thing about them.
I picked up two stealth cams walking through Walmart for 40$ and said WTH for 40$ I try it. I have two months on it and so far no complaints yet. ...

Was listening to the EXO podcast yesterday and they were talking about one of their friends who was using the new feature to mesg from the backcountry.
Supposedly you need an iPhone 14 or newer I’m still rocking an 11.
Anyone use it yet is it legit seamless and reliable?
I may upgrade instead of ...
