Not a 300prc but his slower and less aerodynamic brother the 300wm. I have a nightforce shv 5-20-56 my next scope will probably be a trijicon ten mile. If you’re only planning on shooting to 400 then 14-16 power on the top end is plenty. ...
I had the base station forget which brand but it was about 1/4-1/2 ac. It kept my 7yr old choc lab for a year or two then one day he broke out and from then on it wouldn’t keep him. I watched him walk through it taking the shock and then just walk off down my driveway. One hour later he would act li...
Not sure the grit but it turns red after two wipes to let you know you are finished. ...
Thanks for your advice
How many ac are you hunting? What is the makeup of it? Black dirt bottomland? Red dirt pine thickets? Ton of folks on here with a lot of experience. If you haven’t looked up growing deer dr grant woods as well as Mississippi state university’s deer studies on...
I really hope I didn’t waste $80 for nothing :)
Supplemental feeding is a long term strategy. You need to plan on feeding for the next 3yrs to see any benefits. For it to not be a waste and make an impact plan on several hundred pounds a month yr around. Year around food plots and ...

My primary carry is a g43x with a stream light tlr7 and a holosun rmr. It’s not much different in carry weight or printing with or without but I was used to carrying a Glock 19. ...

They are still waterproof but internet say...
What about the 92FS did you hate? It's your choice to like what you like, but I'm curious why.
The grip was blocky and I felt like I could barely hold it I’m not a small guy and shoot glocks now so.. the trigger was long and shitty IMO once again i shoot glocks alot and like their tr...
Not many guns that I have owned tbat I can say I hated and sold. Beretta 92fs and rem 1187 are two that I hated and sold and do not regret one bit. I paid ~500$ in 1994 for the 92fs I can’t imagine how much I would hate paying 14k for one. ...
You couldn’t give me one and pay for the service for it for me!! It’s not worth the firmware updates, troubleshooting, wasted trips and missed photos. Literally won’t take another if it was free....

re: Concealed Carry Insurance ?

Posted by Ol boy on 3/12/24 at 8:17 pm
No I do not. I have an attorney saved on my phone who will defend me if I call him. I pay enough for insurance as it is and the likelihood of using my gun is very slim so I have chosen to roll the dice. I have concealed carried well over 10-15yr now and not needed either so I think I’m winning. ...
Bird shot is for birds. Use buckshot for self defense.
I agree and my 12ga sits with a buckshot-slug-buckshot combo. I wouldn’t feel undergunned shooting a crack head at 15ft with high brass number 6 though ...
can find some 2 3/4" buckshot, but it is expensive.
Before I spent money on a tacticool stock I would spend it on some buckshot. High brass number 6 shot will be pretty devastating at most distances in a home. ...
1000yards is just scratching the surface for a 300wm, but we really don't have the ranges for the big magnums down here. Sounds like a good time though. OP learned a bit. Hopefully documented all that data. The ballistic calculators now are really good as long as you have good data to put in...

re: Louisiana Turkey Season

Because there are hardly any turkeys left. Drive down any road looking into fields and pastures and tell me how many turkeys you see how many have you seen crossing a road? It’s almost like the 80s when everyone would brag about seeing a deer track now if you see a Turkey or a turkey track or dus...
