Elon has mentioned that with lidar and cameras they can send mixed signals to the car, I trust their testing on that. I encourage everyone to YouTube their newest FSD version 14. Nobody is close to what they have going on. People will wake up when it’s everywhere and cheaper. Call me a fan boy, I’m just not asleep to what is going on. Their latest version is already 2-3x safer than humans drive, and mentioned in their earnings call yesterday their newest chip design will be 40x better than their current version.
Similiar situation to you, 230k combined income pre tax, 200k to put down including selling my house. I’m looking at the 650k range now. 2300-2500 sq ft range. I have time on my side right now as there is no real rush to get into the new crib. Going to try to save up extra for all the hidden costs before building. From what I’ve gathered so far 5 percent of home sale goes to realtors when you sell, 15k in interest alone while they pull money to build, another 25k closing cost on the new home. Give or take a few thousand here or there it all adds up.

Thanks for The replies. I do Have a retirement through work around 200k currently. I hesitated to fund an Ira strictly bc of the age limit to retrieve the money. But it has been a goal to start one. Emergency fund not the best but not the worst I’m closer to
The 2 month emergency fund, I’ve sort of put less in the brokerage when or if my accounts get low and let them build back up

I’m currently in a DSLD neighborhood was my starter home, house is somewhere in the 250-275k range in today’s prices (2.375 rate) which would be about 90-115k in equity. found and would like to buy a property listed for 550k. Just bought a brand new vehicle earlier in the year for 4.5% interest rate. House and car are my only debts currently. I have a brokerage that I been stacking for a few years worth 140k give or take a few thousand that I’m up on pretty significantly. Best advice on how yall would play this. I’m fine selling my stocks if I need to. 2 kids still in 30s, current bills around 5k and I’m comfortable and can still save, I would like to stay around that number. Any advice would be appreciated.

Example, pay car off free up cash flow, higher house note, refi later

Keep car note, sell stocks, put down big down payment btwn stocks and equity in current home

Our daily FUD from scrub, thank you. mNAV is 1.9 and not 3 sell it all! Last bull cycle it got up to 6, you will really hate it then. It’s two levers saylor uses. When mstr price ripped he hit the atm hard. It dampens the price run, but captures the premium and raises the floor of his stock price. Example. Going up 3 steps taking 2 steps back. You’re still a step up from where you were. Also deleverages his company which is currently not as leveraged compared to the past 4 years. Q1 2025 he will start to issue more converts and price will start to rip again along with btc. Saylor spent the weekend at mar a lago with Eric trump. Maybe he knows something you and I don’t, and is front running something bigger. So instead of 3 years he went hard at the atm while the getting is good. You’re a smart guy you know markets are forward looking. Bitcoin price isn’t forward looking. A global event happens, btc sees it first. 24-7 trading 365. So if markets are future looking, do you think btc at 95k is where it will be a year from now? How about 5-10 years from now. I think btc will be much higher and therefore the future of mstr value will be much higher
