re: Binocular help Tigers !

I agree with That One, image stabilization in binoculars is a game changer. I've been using these for like 25 years and am very happy with them.
As other have alluded to, LSU *won* the national championship, while USC was *named* national champion. Big difference. The "playoffs" in Div 1 college football started with the BCS. There just happened to be 2 teams in the playoff. USC didn't qualify for the playoff, as determined by the rules at the time. So, they have no claim to the championship.

Further, since their 2004 championship was stripped due to violations, they haven't been national champs since the 70s. They went from thinking they were playing for a three-peat to actually being a no-peat.
"One of my all-time favorite Tigers!"

Mine, too.

Dalton Hilliard and Devery Henderson were who I was thinking of. Good one for adding Hokie.

Trivia question... Name 2 players who spent their entire football playing careers in Louisiana (LSU as the college).

I'd rename the App Pod as the Central Pod. Tuscaloosa and Auburn wouldn't like the idea of being called Appalachia

Doesn't really matter. Everyone will just call it the Tide Pod.

I was there! The game was held up for about an hour because a tornado hit Birmingham. We lost at State the next week 16-14. They had a backup QB form Bogalusa names Orlando McDaniel (I think) and he ran all over us.

Close, it was Orlando "Butter" Lundy from Bogalusa. I saw him play in HS. You're getting confused with Orlando McDaniel, who was a really good WR for LSU in the late 70s - early 80s. Sadly, he passed away from COVID last year.
Orlando McDaniel passes away
Heh. Or perhaps with his pants being pulled down. : :moon:
Given to the most outstanding player in the post season (minimum 2 games). This would include conference championship games. I know Joe did incredible in the regular season, but there are all kinds of awards for that. He ramped it up even more in the post season and I don't think there's an award for that.

What a punchable face

Hey, there's a word for that. Well, in German, anyway. Backpfeifengesicht. It means "a face that needs punching". Jordan Rodgers certainly fits the bill.

Name for the game -- "Sankey's Revenge"

Perhaps Sankey didn't care for all the bad publicity (not to mention the Kiss My arse T-Shirt by Carville) before the Bama game. We probably need name for the game, AKA Grand Theft Auburn. Whaddya think?

But, interestingly, that strategy did beat Alabama during the regular season. At Bama, even. And, that strategy also worked down 14-0 against the Hogs in the last game of the season. And, it worked against Georgia in the SECCG the next game 10-0. He stuck with what worked and they blew away those teams in the games before the NC game. Perhaps it may be understandable why he would stick with the same formula that worked during the most impressive regular season on college football history. Just perhaps.
Most impressive catch I've ever seen.
Yep, worst called I've seen, too. No less than 11 bad calls that all went against LSU.
Best catch I've ever seen, right there. By anyone, at any level.
"But, your car's blue....
Time for a purple and gold paint job? "

Ahhh, this is where it helps to be colorblind. Anything in the blue range passes for purple, and anything yellowish can be gold.
"And the average is not mathematically meaningless. An average is an average is an average is an average."

Yikes. Instead of going off on how incorrect this is, I'll just thank you again for your effort and leave it at that. Good night.
