re: New Orleans has a higher COL than Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Austin

Any idea how much lower BR is? From what I'm seeing BR is only slightlty better than NO when it comes to COL.

It went viral well before anyone knew that she was a journalist, much less worked for the Washington Examiner
I understand that. My point is that I’m sure The NY Times reporter was ecstatic to find out where she worked.

She worked for the Washington Examiner, which leans right. So it figures a NY Times reporter got her fired. Doubt this is much of a story if it turned out she worked for the Washington Post.

Yeah I saw that somewhere else yesterday and it supposedly over South Africa. Now the same footage claims it’s Idaho lol

Yep. It reminds me of back in the day when Jerry Tarkanian said the NCAA was so mad at Kentucky that they gave Cleveland St an additional 2 years probation.

[quote]I don't think it's racist, but why not call the virus by its name?[/quote
I think the whole debate is silly and media driven. But many viruses were named for their place of origin.
West Nile Virus
Spanish Flu
MERS - middle eastern respiratory syndrome
Ebola-a river in Africa.

Monroe is a vastly superior place to live than 98% of the state. If monroe is gone the whole state has been gone for decades.
This is the OT. Every single city in the state gets shite on lol.

I used to sell BMW’s and at least once every couple of months we’d get black customers that would come in and request a black salesperson.....It never happened the other way around.

Blanket statements like this are silly. The mark up varies by make. Some luxury German imports have a mark up of 5-6%.... American cars have a much higher mark up.

re: Running Mileage per Week
Posted by whomewhat on 6/30/14 at 3:02 pm
I run between 6.5 and 7 miles every other day, with an occasional longer slower run on the weekend... On non running days I lift weights.
So I average somewhere between 20-25 miles most weeks.

re: Soccer fans are the emo kids of the sports world.

I love soccer and I'm not emo :dunno:
What irks me are the soccer fans that change their speaking patterns when talking about soccer, but revert back to talking like a normal American as soon as soccer is over. You know the whole, "Ghana are on the attack now" or "Spain need a goal desperately".
But otherwise the soccer haters are more annoying than the soccer fans.

first two drives on offense, killed the whole game, momentum, confidence, etc. We need to GAIN yards on our early runs and be productive
Yeah this breakdown from Grantland touches on that.
quote:
It was a beatdown, but in rewatching the game, I was surprised at how much came down to Seattle catching several key breaks early. Seattle was the better team on the day and deserved to win, and the Saints had no hope of catching up once the Seahawks got out to a 27-7 halftime lead, but New Orleans showed a lot more during the first half than I remembered. It made me believe that the Saints might have a better shot of making Saturday's game a contest than my memory — and the final score of that encounter in Week 13 — suggested.
quote:
Where I really felt like the Saints were unlucky was in dealing with the game's two early fumbles, which had a tremendously important role in putting them behind in this contest.

These videos are great.

Balance of power is always changing to some extent but you can't confine the top 4 programs to 2 pods....The SEC would never do that. You may see a pod with both UGA and UF(if those schools really push for it), but I can almost guarantee LSU and Alabama will be split.

LSU did wait 45 years for another national title. But LSU was hardly in the basement during those years. They have many bowl wins and several SEC titles in between.
You're right. He did fail to understand the topic, but he wasn't the only one. UGA and Auburn are being assumed as targets of a troll by the thread starter, but really those are top flight programs. Like someone else said, this is more about, say Vandy with a national title.

Recruiting is not a predictor of success, just a part of the equation.
This is very true (see Orgeron and Chizik).
However Freeze seems to be the real deal coaching as well as recruiting.
