Q for the baseball gods: During his post game, JJ said that in the first inning of game 3, the Vol batters "knew what pitch was coming...said it was a pretty funny story", but no one asked the follow up.
Any idea what he was talking about?

Overlooking to comments above which I assume is a direct results of Tiger Rant Beer, all I know is the kid was our ace, crusing along until Norman. Then Auburn & Alabama.
An honest question for all the baseball experts: How do those 135 pitches in Norman look now guys?

The fans that I have talked to, young/old, black/white, etc. are siding with the Vols. They (we the fans) were OK with NIL but did not like the pay to play, but we went with it. But Nico crossed the line. If a kid agrees to a deal going forward & gets hurt or beat out, we can live with it. If the kid wants to hold out for a new deal, I hope going forward that all coaches, AD's, teams, etc. do a Josh & let him go in a very public way. I also hope we all agree that the LSU powers to be draw the line - we do not deal with kids who pull a Nico.

UCLA (& E$PN/NCAA) site is reading those numbers & saying "look at the TV sets on in the big market Los Angeles market!". E$PN/NCAA is saying "the ref's did good...32 vs 12 FT's). Dream game for E$PN: UCLA vs. USCe.

Most of the posters "hate" everything.
Men's baseball has lost two games...fire Jay.
Women's baseball has lost one game...drop the sport & give the field to the vet school.
Gym wins SEC...who cares.
Don't even mention football & basketball where most of the posters can do better than Woody, Kelly or MM.
Sometimes I think the only reason this site is free is because it is sponsored by the Louisiana Alcohol Board!

16-1 now.
20-10 in SEC is optimistic, 18-12 probably.
That gets us to around 34-13.
Go 8-1 or 7-2 in remaining mid-weeks games is realistic with our pitching depth.
Assuming no major injuries, 42-14ish going into the Hoover meat grounder...win 2 there gives us 44 wins & LSU should be a national seed.
The problem may be politics...how many SEC teams are the NCAA going to have in the top 8? The SEC will eat each other up while the top few teams in the ACC & Big 12 will pad their record. The grading curve for LSU may be going 6-3 or 5-4 vs. Tenn, A&M & Ark.

I agree with mwade above, but it is a very fine line to make the finals.
Two B10 + ACC & Big12 Champs + G5 + Golden Domers = 6 with 6 left. Figure there is a 2025 Indiana stype Cinderella out there, which makes it 5 available slots. The two Atlanta SEC teams leave 3 available spots. Make Atlanta & LSU is in. If we don't make Atlanta...like Eastwood said: "do you feel lucky Punk?"

LSU wasn't.
I submit that LSU is in the preseason 2025 top 10 not because of ability but because of "brand", just like we were in '24, '23, etc.
Q: If we continue on the road we are on, how long will the brand last?

So, LSU has the money, facilities, fan support, prime recruiting base...wonder why LSU is now perceived as a second tier SEC program, with 7 or 8 other SEC teams ranked ahead of them in 2024 & early 2025 rankings?
Time to do some soul searching at ALL levels - administration, fan base, web sites, Bayou Traditions, etc.
