In my old arse boomer opinion, the Apollo 11 moon landing mission was the high water mark in American exceptionalism and greatness.
Yesterday’s launch put a lump in my throat knowing we’re going back. Truly badass.

I believe the lead guitarist is Benorce Blackmon. Not really familiar with him, just based on searching Bill Withers touring band, 1972.

Strange Fruit had a very ugly breakup in the 1970’s. They reformed in the 90’s to ride a nostalgia wave minus their brooding star guitarist. They finally hit on all cylinders after a number of issues…
Great movie.

This album was a sure fire panty dropper with the babes back in the day:

Canned Heat borrowed this tune in 1968.

Brian’s Vox Teardrop guitar is absolutely the coolest guitar in all rock history imo.

Ever wonder where Devo borrowed their schtick?

I saw the reunited Everly Brothers at the Mid-South Fair in 1985. It was one those ‘free’ shows the fair had each night during its run.
They were great, still able to hit the highs and their harmonies were amazing to hear. It was an honor to attend and see them. Albert Lee was their band leader and guitarist.
