heard it’s possible to have shingles twice?
My wife got shingles twice. First time was about 15 yrs ago down her arm along the C5-6 dermatome (nerve path). Second time was this year in her eye. Very painful. Luckily, she made a full recovery with no residual visual loss. She is now vaccinated.
ETA: I plan to get the 2 vaccine shots this year.

With LSU now moving down to D 2, what does our recruiting look like …
That’s it. I’m flipping over to Paw Patrol re-runs.

Yes he is, but lives in a nursing home. Had some serious health setbacks, but he is stable, last I heard.
Before St Michael’s, he was here at St Edmund’s. He married us and baptized our children. I miss that man.

we’re parishioners at both Cathedral and Pius.
that almost makes you a "floaton", with the -on being expressed the French way.
Per Fr. Gary Schexnayder, that means you float around to different churches
We do this too

I probably spent 400k putting my kids through Catholic school.
Put 3 kids through Fatima and STM. K-12, so 13 yrs each.
I tabulated a little over 250k spent. Well worth it, in my opinion.
My dad wanted to know why my house wasn't paid off yet. He understood when I showed him those numbers

I guess that’s how you get over, when you live in a Communist country.

Is there a plane going down the bayou to get O?
This minute by minute Kiffin tracking is hilarious. Like NORAD tracking Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.

Viva La waffle was such a terrible idea
But at every food truck roundup, they had the longest line of people by far. Agree that the brick and mortar restaurant was a flop.

No decent, legitimate bar or restaurant is shorting the alcohol in drinks. That kind of thing spreads fast and the business loss is immediate.
I guarantee you're still getting the same 1.5 or 2 ounces depending on the drink you got with the smaller ice cubes.
Probably true, for the most part. I do notice that at some restaurants, I order an Old Fashion, and it lasts me 10-15 minutes. At other places, that 1 drink might last throughout my meal. :dunno:

Not sure about the glass size, but the big fancy ice cube or ice ball keeps getting bigger and bigger, filling up the glass and shorting you of your well-deserved alcohol purchase.

Not just the best gym in Baton Rouge but arguably the entire Gulf coast.
Yes, a very good family owned club well-integrated into the community, as I recall it back in the early 90s. A club you want to be a part of for life. Not quite as good as Reds in Lafayette, but still very good.
Didn't know they were closed ....or is this misinformation.........
Is Foxy's still a thing?

My era as well. Never knew this little place existed. I appreciate the nostalgia.
Hard to imagine that there was no such thing as bottled water as recently as then. You could only buy soft drinks.

the best compliment that I get is "Did you play at Bama?"
Nice
At 5'11' and low-180s, I get asked if I played at Baton Rouge School of Computers
I didn’t expect much at all, but TJ was featured on something like 60 Minutes several years ago, and they bragged about that particular wine. I gave it a shot and, yep, it didn’t even live up to 2-3 dollar hype.
The only thing I’ve ever had from TJs is the red wine known as Two Buck Chuck. Overhyped for its quality at its price point.
It actually costs 3 bucks, and isn’t worth a buck fifty.
