It refers to the betting favorite. The tournament has been loaded with chalk winners. Meaning no real super huge upsets or underdogs winning. Back in the day they posted the spreads on a chalk board and the favorite would be the one with the chalk number beside it. Hence, the phrase chalk. ...

LSU caught a few lucky breaks? When? Where? Losing to A&M is 7 overtimes? We handled Miami, Miss St, and Georgia. Got handled by Bama and Florida beat us in a close game. You can argue we got lucky against Auburn but you said a couple lucky breaks. Where’s the other one? Ole Miss? We destroyed them....
