Let's not act like UGA wasn't recruiting him just as hard as UF, Yall just missed on him
re: How long do you think the weather jokes/animosity about weather lasts between UF and LSU?

True, I think it started with the DBU debate

I don't disagree with being fiscally responsible, but there is a middleground between where Foley was and the Bama/Oregon/TAMU level of oppulence. I also found this article that shows stats that ilustrate the correllation between football success and increased applicants

I agree with just about all of this, but I also understand that you and I are not 18 year old kids who are star athletes being told how great they are by people like Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. I'm much more disturbed by the attitude of some of these recruits than the attitude of the programs trying to court them. I remember when Tebow announced his commitment live on ESPN, a ton of people were dumbfounded that ESPN televised a high school kid announcing where he was going to college. These days, announcement videos are produced like movies, NSD is almost a national holiday, and with social media, these guys are celebrities before they ever step foot on campus.
For what it's worth, I do agree that I'd rather see the money spent on recruiting staff than facilities, but once that is in place, I'd like to see some upgrades to the facilities because like it or not, prettier is better

If he couldn't recruit Eddy P would be wearing crimson and white

That is how I interpreted that as well. I don't really see a reason to go any direction besides Shannon unless it's for a huge name

Can you name 3 more proven college QB's that are available?

If we don't have a serviceable Qb next year, he will be coaching for his job in 2018, but there's no way I see him being fired before then.

How good we were last year with just a decent QB.
Ole Miss was a good team last year, idgaf what anyone says, and we thumped them. Also, the way we came back and beat UT. Bad teams don't do what we did last year before Grier got busted. don't get me wrong, he was no world beater by any means, and that's actually a good thing. I'd argue that with the exception of QB and maybe, mayyyybe TE, every other offensive position was better this year than last year from a personnel standpoint.
Also, not for nothing, but Mac has pulled rabbits out of his hat 2 years in a row recruiting, let's givie it til NSD before we eat the guy alive, there may be a few surprises

Anyways, back to the original topic, I saw that Stidham pushed his decision date back, possible UF Official Visit in the works? I honestly think if he gets on campus, we got him

Seriously? In how many games does Bama make it to the 5 yard line 5 times and they only score 10 points?
You're delusional to say that Bama's offense isn't that good
