I trust Lane Kiffin with his QB decision making. If there’s one thing I’m confident in, it’s that he’s gonna roll with the best QB.

Going into the game, he was the defensive player I was most excited to watch. After all the offseason hype from other players, I figured he had to be legit. Was not disappointed. Seemed like I heard his name called a lot at the game.

I saw an article recently where Kiffin and Weis said they like to line up quickly so they have more time to read the defense and communicate what they’re seeing to the quarterback through the earpiece. You can communicate with the QB until there are 15 seconds left on the play clock. Yesterday, we were consistently lined up with around 25 seconds left. That’s a huge advantage.

How refreshing to have a play on 3rd and short that actually works? God I realize how miserable I was watching Kelly & Co gain zero or negative yards almost every time on plays like that.

Bama is much less of a threat now with NIL in play to steal a coach. It seems they don’t have that fully in order, and definitely not when compared to LSU or Ole Miss.

LSU will likely never contend for championships in basketball. But they should at the very least be sniffing the tournament most years. Being a bottom-dweller in the SEC is not acceptable.

LSU isn’t championship bound next year. We need to rebuild. I would love to take him over the other portal QBs. He will be here for more than a year, and he’s got Heisman-level talent. Year 2 is where I think we really do damage.

My point of view: our entire offensive line could leave, and I would not care. They were absolutely horrendous. Freshman to senior, if you couldn’t start on this offensive line then you’ll never be SEC caliber. Wish them well.

I will always root for LSU, regardless of the coach. SMU was a great win. But also, don’t go into hiding if McMahon gets smoked in the SEC again. That being said, I hope he doesn’t. If he does, LSU needs to go in a different direction

USC hosed him. His firing set them back 15 years. I bet they wish they never did. He had multiple good years, and got fired for going 9-4. USC was spoiled with championships, then fired a good coach when he didn’t win one immediately. Similar to DeBoer at Bama right now.

With a good offensive scheme, I think Barion Brown can be a game changer. The talent is there. Did not put him in situations to utilize his strengths.
