Seriously? I'm an OU fan and I have lived in both places. People are wrong to bag on Norman. It isn't like OKC at all. Very nice little college town. Beautiful campus, lots to do in town, OKC 30 minutes up the road. If you think Norman is a shite hole it is likely your only experience there was seeing your football team get their asses kicked.

HOWEVER, to say that Norman is nicer than NWA requires the ingestion of either large doses of meth, or a brain injury. NWA is the world HQ for Wal-Mart, JB Hunt, and Tyson. Wal-mart also requires you to have an office in NWA if you want to sell to them at any significant level. Bottom line, there are very large numbers of people living in NWA with six-figure salaries. The nightlife, the shopping, and pretty much everything else is way more abundant than anything you would ever expect to find in Arkansas. NWA also sits in mountains. Beautiful mountains with friggin' interstates to get around (thanks to Wal-mart).

Both are good places to live. In my experience, Norman is a far better college town than Fayetteville. However, NWA is a far superior place to "adult".
