Because we just don’t have viable forwards any outside of Herb. Petty is more of a SG especially in the SEC.so we need more length on the perimeter and of course depth.

It’s just the stupidty of the statement. Like who knows how this next season will go. Not saying it’s going to be bad but right now we are a viable destination in college basketball. So we need to take as many shots at any talent that we can. This is what great recruiters do.

IT DOESN’T MATTER ANYMORE. Do you get that. What are depth at wing rn. Riley Norris and Herb Jones(A guy that’s getting NBA looks,can take some ball handling duties and might not be here for the 2019 season). Maybe we are trying to get some more versatility team. I mean this isn’t rocket science man

Stop being confused, we just had a guy go in the top 10 NBA Draft. Couple that in with every single HS basketball recruit knowing who Avery Johnson is means Alabama is at least blip on every HS BB players radar. Why not test the waters on players that you think can improve your program. Plus Avery is a good salesman

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while but I have been checking the board religiously. This is a must win tonight in my opinion. If the team can pull this off we will get a lot more eyes back on the program.

Not only that every recruit and their parents know who Avery Johnson IS. That is a huge benefit for us. Add in that Colin is top 5 recruit in a loaded 17'class. We are on everyone's radar now. I was at EYBL a couple of weeks ago and recruits know who we are and what the program is building.

IDK why a bunch of y'all don't think we have a shot at him. Yeah his parents went there but come on how far away is MSU from the Capstone. Plus we just lap that university in everything. If this years team delivers on a above average season, the recruits will come.

The Non Conference schedule looks great so far. I would like us to add Arizona but this is definitely an upgrade from past seasons.

because they do. Avery is no dummy he knows what this season means for the development of his program. If we can go on an Sweet 16 run. that will set up our recruiting classes for the future.
