I've used most if them. I sold my 9 a while back because the video needed a lot of tweaking to make it anywhere near as good as my 11 without any. Solid camera for a first GoPro. If you've never had one you won't really miss what you don't have. The 10 is almost as good picture wise but the 11 is wa...
Thanks for going through all the trouble of looking that up but let me point out the elephant in the room you somehow missed in all your exhaustive research. Mcneese somehow managed to make the tournament for the first time in 22 years. A fluke? A fortunate set of circumstances? Divine intervention?...
Nah, it's out of warranty. I tried hoping against hope that it might still be in warranty. ...
I can't replace this laptop for 500 dollars even in the used market. It was well north of 1300 dollars when it first came out in 2022. A replacement is 1500 or so. Trust me, I already bought the replacement and paid around 1300. I just want to fix it to have it as a backup for my main machine or sel...
It's an i7 12th gen I believe. It's a 1300 dollar laptop at least it was new. I've studied the problem enough that I'm relatively sure it's a shorted board. Asus laptops are kind of known for that apparently. I've found several repair outfits that specialize in board repair but they are out of town....

re: Walmart to buy Vizio

I've met people happy with their Vizio tvs but I've met many more that feel otherwise. It started with glitches in the menu and progressed to a white band across the screen at times. Hate that TV. Digging up bad memories. ...
Its an Asus Tuf Dash FX516PR. Cheapest board available is eBay open box just under 600 dollars. I'd gladly spend 200-300 to repair it. New board will cost almost what the laptop cost - 1300....
Yeah, follow the bread crumbs. Free anything? Yeah no. What I'd like to see is the other "free" software companies give a reasonable accounting of how it makes financial sense for them to give away their "free" software. Most if not all are selling data they don't tell you about, they just aren't th...

Vizio WISHES it could be as good as Hisense or TLC. Vizio had always been a crap brand as far as I'm concerned. Bought my first 4k TV 6 years ago, a 55 inch Vizio. Hated the menu system, very laggy, mediocre picture, and it died literally a month after the warranty ended. Vizio I purchased for daugh...

Those things clog up unless uou use them on a regular basis. ...
Looking for recommendations for a shop that repairs laptops, but actually does board repair. Like actually diagnose a shorted main board and repair it whether it's replacing a bad cap or shorted mosfet. Not geek squad that will confirm a shorted board and say you need a replacement board. I have a p...
The Gopro is really the go to for that sort of thing. I've been using them for all kinds of outdoor stuff, work and personal for 10 years. They don't do too well in darker environments but sports stuff is usually well lit or outdoors. From the 11 forward they have full 360 horizon lock so filming fr...
Cannot stand him. He tries too hard to sound smart and ends up sounding arrogant. Plus I find his takes stupid. ...
The one I use the most is Purple Planet Music. To get the super hi fi wav versions of the music you have to pay a small price but the free stuff is adequate for most stuff. Insert proper credits and you won't have any issues. ...

re: How good are ThinkPads?

The power supply for it is another 8 pounds. Maybe a slight exaggeration but thats why I have a power supply by my bed, on my couch center console, and of course one at my desk at work....

The older ones are built like tanks and are very relevant still in 2023. I have 2 P50 Thinkpads with 64gb of RAM that I use for video editing work YT stuff. Can't beat the value. They don't handle HEVC files well but bumping up to a P51 would easily solve that for nearly the same price. Their main d...

re: Gopro hero 8 vs 9

Definitely a 9. The 9 accessories are compatible all the way up to the 11. The 8 and its stuff is not compatible. I currently have 2 Hero 11s, one 9 and a Sessions. I had an 8 that I traded for my 9. My 11 batteries are compatible with the 9 not the 8 and earlier. The 9 has better stabilization for...

I hated the call at first. I thought it was suicide. Then as they were lining up, I thought, we are playing with house money. Win or lose, we almost took down Satan in a supposed rebuilding year. The screams in my house! I'm surprised the neighbors didn't call the cops. ...
