Westbound I-10 traffic doesn't have to cross over 30 lanes in 40 seconds.

Here is another: bringing your dog to the grocery store. I saw someone's dog sniffing the produce, and I was out.

re: Anyone else thinking about buying a Tesla?
Posted by Tony The Tiger on 3/11/25 at 8:12 am
Just test-drive one. We have two vehicles - a regular SUV and a Tesla Model Y. The Y is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The most significant issue people bring up is charging times. Long road trips are doable with the Tesla charging network, but it will add time to your trip (the longer the trip, the longer the time added). You also charge from home and never go to a public charger.
My car charges at home while I sleep, and I never have to go to a gas station or change the oil. It has been highly reliable with no issues.

Why on earth are drug screenings still preventing people from being qualified for employment???? That is a bigger problem than immigration legal or illegal. It is a fact, it is still a thing, why is beyond imagination....
For construction, it is absolutely essential. It can be a massive safety issue if someone is coked up running a boom lift.

It is easy to say - hire American workers, but there are so few American workers who are both willing to do this work and can pass a drug screening/criminal background check.
If we are serious about deporting construction labor, the economy will take a massive hit. I know that isn't something you want to hear, but it is the truth. Construction will stop, and there is no easy solution to replace this labor. Forget about the costs... the actual jobs will stop. It would crush the economy.

I saw it! Visiting family and it flew right over their house.
re: Does BK have a problem emerging with this Greg Brooks story?
Posted by Tony The Tiger on 2/3/25 at 12:44 pm
There is nothing BK nor OLOL did wrong here. It is an obvious money grab.
The only *damning* thing is the lack contact, which is probably due to the fact that the family sued LSU and OLOL.

I look back 40 years or so of my life with different Presidents, and If I am honest, how much did each directly impact my life? Outside of the COVID overreach, I don't remember a President directly affecting my life.
These young, mentally ill kids have built a whole identity around something that is not real. When it is threatened, their entire life comes crashing down. It is extremely sad to see. Many are victims of leftist ideological echo chambers and cannot understand their worldview is not in line with what the majority think and believe. They were pawns in a culture war.
