Correct, the Old Testament is full of revenge, war, and incurring God’s wrath, then Jesus came and preached Love and Forgiveness in the New Testament. A lot of people, Jews including, were not happy about Jesus’s teachings.
re: Anyone else getting text messages from Senator Kennedy to donate to drain the swamp?
Posted by LeGrosChat on 3/29/26 at 9:56 pm to Giantkiller
No, and I will not donate to his cause unless he puts up $1,000,000 of his campaign war chest and his lobbyist group does the same. I’m tired of his constant need to feel like he has to say a funny quip about one of the issues. He needs to stop with the rhetoric and actually do something about the swamp. He sounds like he is from the Appalachian mountains.

I know this will make many emotional, especially the Texan’s, but Tillamook is superior to Bluebell ice cream. A lot
More natural ingredients and more creamy than Bluebell.

re: Boiling two sacks for the first time at once l. Give me your seasoning ratio
Posted by LeGrosChat on 3/22/26 at 4:15 pm to cbtullis
Most dry packs seasoning are heavy on sodium. I don’t add any extra salt based on that. I cook one sack at a time and add one pack Swamp Dust (it’s has lower sodium than most) and one pint liquid crab boil.
For first time, kind of hard to know, but maybe 3 bags dry and 1 pint or 1 quart liquid crab boil. Will be trial and error for first few times.

Oh, I voted for Trump 3X’s, I just want the government to be transparent- what information did we get or Israel obtain since we destroyed all of Iran’s nuclear facilities in June 2025. We were also told Iraq had enriched uranium to make nuclear bombs, war drums beat, no uranium.
Most of the 9/11 terrorist were from Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt, and one from Lebanon. I would like to honestly know how many people, the dates and events that Iran killed Americans? Vs all the other Arab states. As one OP posted that the sniper attempt on Trump’s life was sponsored by Iran?

Tell me a war that we have won without ground troops? I am waiting.
And, this why we need to get out of the war business. More of the government military complex mucking up things. The neocons stoked Trump’s ego to bomb Iran. What has Iran done in the last five years that has directly impacted the average American. How about focus on building infrastructure in our country. Louisiana could use two new intestate bridges.
re: I just want to know how it got to be that we're still stuck with George Bush.

Cheney and Bush told us that once Saddam was gone that the the Iraqi people would be celebrating in the streets and democracy would take hold. It didn’t happen just like they told us Saddam had uranium to make a bomb.
Our government is corrupt regardless of the party in power.
And-if you trust the US government, just talk to the American Indians!!!
Where is the transparency that we accidentally bombed school with children.
Trump raged against the Bush wars when he first ran. I suspect the military machine goaded his ego to bomb Iran.
The majority of Americans don’t even know that Iranians don’t speak Arabic.

re: We have traded MAGA for war. The way this war ends is coming into focus.
Posted by LeGrosChat on 3/15/26 at 9:24 am to RiverCityTider
Same story, same ending- the government military complex is cranked up. Just like the build up to Iraq— Saddam has enriched yellow uranium to make a bomb, we have to bomb him first, forget about Bin Laden that took down the Twin Towers. The government pivoted from the attack on 9/11 to go to war on Iraq and Afghanistan. And, Iraq had no uranium.
In first Gulf War, Bush 1 doesn’t finish the job of getting Saddam because sentiment had changed. Crazy to think we got involved because Iraq invaded Kuwait for oil.
We keep killing Americans in wars -Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War 1 & 2. Was the end means achieved? By definition, war is to defeat the enemy with an end goal in mind. Iran was hardly mentioned by Trump when campaigning for 2nd term. He did campaign on ending endless wars and even eviscerated Jeb Bush in first campaign on the republican war mongering.

I don’t seem to have the problems you are experiencing. Yes, have some pop up ads, but I generally find the website decent and I think it is the most informative paper in the state. Maybe, check your upload and download speed. Of course, newspapers and magazines are not the ones of the past before the internet existed.

It's great for a bunch of guys like me. We'll travel in to Louisiana and make a shite ton of money building these data centers and power plants, and then we'll take our earnings back to our home states.
Enjoy the bigger power bills and stinky water.
So, you are criticizing a billionaire for economic growth and opportunity, then turn around with the above comments about “making a ton of
Money” and taking it to another state where you live in a perfect world all the while being negative about a state where you are fortunate to make a bunch of money. And, you have LSU in your TD name. Interesting!
