Is today official Shitty Georgia Fan Post Day?
re: WHY is auburn so good in basketball and not football ?

Beat Georgia and Alabama in the regular season, won the SEC West, finished in the top 10. What a shitty year in football.

If you could combine Guthrie's sauce with Zaxby's chicken and toast, you'd have a winner.

Bow down to the master. Based in New Orleans LA.

Laugh at Tennessee's athletic department thread.

Kiffin needs to come back to the SEC. If only Mike Leach would come too, we could have the top two trollmasters in the same conference.

I bet he follows Gus and comes home.
Sure. Gus is on the verge of winning the SEC for the second time while HC at Auburn, and heading to the playoffs. He can recruit 5* athletes at Auburn. He's geographically close to the recruiting hotbeds of Georgia and Florida. But he's gonna quit that shite and head to Arkansas.

Please no. Stay away from Coach Brown.

Tennessee may owe Schiano a $20 million buyout?
Posted by Vyceron on 11/26/17 at 6:17 pm
The guys on the Knoxville sports radio broadcast just said that they've heard a rumor that UT and Schiano had a contract in place two weeks ago, and UT backed out of the contract today due to the protests. Here's the crazy part: if this rumor is true, UT owes Schiano a $20 million buyout!

Does this board have a "remind me in X days" function?
I'd love to come back to this thread in 3 years and see how well it holds up.

re: Is Gus too stubborn/arrogant to beat UGA?

The winning formula for Gus is pretty clear.
JUCO-transfer running QB = SEC champs, natty game appearance
I don't know why Gus doesn't recruit a new JUCO dual-threat QB every year.

Factors playing into a potential coaching change.

1. Other SEC schools will be competing for coaching candidates.
- Arkansas will probably fire Bert.
- Tennessee may fire Butch this Sunday after they get crushed for the 11th straight time by Bama.
- Ole Miss is giving Matt Luke a test run, but may not stick with him.
- Missouri...who knows. That whole situation is a dumpster fire.
2. The AD situation is a mess. JJ may or may not be gone before the football season ends. Any prospective coach would be wary of coming in and then having the AD replaced.
3. The new early signing period is from December 20th through the 22nd. If we fire Gus after the IB, on November 26 or so, that would leave less than 1 month to shuffle the coaching staff and have them try to salvage existing recruits, flip other teams' recruits, and seal the deal for undecideds that want to sign early.
4. Existing defensive staff has been excellent. If we change head coaches, does the new guy keep Kevin Steele and his staff around? Even the best defensive players take time to re-learn new systems and terminologies. A 2018 redshirted senior defensive player would have 4 DCs.

Based solely on the players on the rosters:
1. Tennessee
2. Mississippi
3. Arkansas
4. Missouri

I saw them in Tuscaloosa just two weekends ago. Chris seemed fine that night. He signed a couple of items from the crowd, and was very gracious. His voice obviously isn't what it was 30 years ago, but he was in good shape otherwise.
Such a shame.
Such a shame.
re: Atlanta about to upgrade to merely terrible traffic again - 85 to reopen

The contracting firm that fixed it, C.W. Matthews, just earned $3.1 million in incentives by fixing it early (before May 21st).
That's a pretty damn good incentive to finish early.
