I like it . My hunch always, at least for myself, is either a home run or a complete dud lol; and if I'm not starting Rams D at some point from now then I'm def goin for the upside matchup so I guess my best move would be to snag a 2nd D/ST with my last bench spot. Thanks for your input, Good Luck to you as well the rest of the way. Lord knows the Tigahs, Saints, and Pels ain't giving me any hope this year so far, but the cash and the bragging rights would definitely minimize the blow of having to wait another year for a fresh start.
Couldn't agree more. I knew I would be kicking myself in 6 weeks if I lost the ship again because I stuck with Tyrod or Russ Wilson instead of trading for Rodgers with Hurns, decker, and Gio squatting on my bench. Now I gotta decide how to use my empty bench spot since I'm 10th in waiver order. Try and find a ROS sleeper D to pair with St.Louis for matchups? Any ideas?
Btw, Can't figure out if I'm getting fudged with or not yet but I'll read it as the latter. Fairly new to posting n recognizing sarcasm here. still learning to temper length/info
Thanks brotha. I mainly think I made the right move with big playoff upside, hoping Dez gets back to the late 1st /early 2nd round Dez I drafted, and Mike Evans starts getting in the end zone. Small feeling that the trade aggressiveness will come back to bite me in the arse though
My fault. Figured it was too much info. In short, what's y'all's thoughts into having a top team w/ bench players who could start in abt 70% of the other teams lineups and trading them in bulk to get an elite player at your position of need for the playoff run, rather than prolly keeping them on the bench majority of the playoffs?

Who won this trade? Strategy?

10 team, standard scoring, 5 bench spots, 5pt QB Tds (my big $, most important league btw). TIA
I traded - Gio, Decker, and Hurns
I received - Aaron Rodgers and Sammy Watkins

My team (7-3, 1st place, 2nd in PF) before trade
QB -Taylor (dropped Wilson 2wks ago)
RB- Blount, Shady, Gore, Gio, Langford
WR - Dez, Mike Evans, Hurns, Decker, Crabtree
TE - Gronk
D/ST - St. Louis
K- Gostkowsi

His team (6-4, tied for 2nd somehow, 6th in PF) before trade
QB- Rodgers, Rivers
RB- AP, Spiller, A.Andrews
WR - Fitz, D.Jackson, Watkins, Ginn
TE - Jimmy
D/ST - Seattle
K - M.Bryant

All 3 I traded have basically been on my bench all year. I'm investing in trading my productive bench players to upgrade my biggest weakness strategy going into the postseason, since I screwed myself last year and lost in the championship bc I wouldn't trade a couple top 25 players on my bench for Eli or Rivers. I, for some dumbass reason, thought having elite depth and a mediocre qb would be better in postseason than risking going all in to further upgrade my starters. I traded ARob for Shady and Decker couple weeks ago as well.

Apologies for the length, but what does the board think about this move/strategy?
I've had this question/idea in the back of my mind, strongly, for an extensive amount of time, given that I figured I would have my beliefs all squared away by now. It is still a massive internal struggle for me to this day. I know I will never know and I've done all the research into faith, but I feel I can't call myself and act in strict Christian ways if I don't truly believe it in my heart and soul. I want to believe in a Christian God, but I sincerely can't when there is an insane amount of distant cultures and beliefs that say otherwise, can't discard ancient cultures just because a group of old men in Red robes say what is right what is wrong, how our history apparently occurred and how it actually went down, the ancient texts that were meant to be in the Bible all of a sudden need to be removed and forgotten, being homosexual is against The Lord's will but all of a sudden it's acceptable to be a homosexual just bc of the current cultural situation. How can old men in robes alter and dictate what God wants his people to do and believe every now and then; "oh this scripture is not what God wants so we will deem it irrelevant for 2015" "God told me he now wants homosexuality to be accepted se we need to completely flip one of the biggest pillars in our belief system". Basically all I hear is the profitable response to the rapidly changing cultural norm. "If we don't say the Gays can go to heaven then we will begin to lose some of our 1Billion followers and lose their donations to our TRILLIONS of dollars Vatican Bank"

My buddies still respond "like wtf" or "this is how it's gonna go" when I try and bring this sort of topic up bc they're either dedicated Christians, Atheist, or the College professor route where they have an apparent definitive fact and reason to explain and prove everything wrong.

My Momma has always told and reassured me that whatever/whoever the correct way of understanding/perceiving God is, no matter what culture, is always going to be scientifically unknown until you kick the bucket. Every religion funnels into one basic concept, be honest with yourself and do good by others. A long as your a genuinely good and honest person then you have nothing to worry about. If there is a heaven and hell then you shouldn't have to worry about doing the suggested things that would get you into Heaven every day. If your meant to be there you will end up there because you innately made your decisions to get yourself there, that's how you know your a good person. You didn't do the right thing because you think you'll go to hell if you don't, you did the right thing because you wanted to and your soul/being acted in it's goodness to do the right thing regardless of the outcome.

Sorry for length but I've been wanting to express this topic outside my circle for a while now

I need an Rb upgrade yesterday and ARob has been very consistent for me. having Dez, Evans, and ARob for the stretch run is enticing but having to rely on Gore, Blount, Gio is scary and I'm thinking Shady can be a top 10 back the rest of the way. I've been trying to pry Stevie or Ty but he ain't budging. What would yall do?

German Shepherd / Black Lab mix
Handful as a pup (pretty destructive when it came to wooden and wicker lawn furniture) but is extremely intelligent, protective, loving, and playful in her younger days (used to chase me down and bite my ankles to knock me over and snag the ball when we would play football)
Could not imagine growing up without her.

my 8th grade religion teacher(former nun) told us not to bother saying special intentions for our dogs after a classmate's childhood family dog passed and tried to because she claimed "dogs don't have souls" "they break eye contact when you try to look them in the eyes for too long bc eyes are the windows to your soul ". My girl proves that condescending biotch wrong everyday. really is nothing like having that bond with your hound

Other guy has
Qb- Rodgers

Rb- Gore
Wr- Evans
Wr- Tate
TE- Ertz
D- st.louis
K- Gostkowski
Bench
Tre mason
Rivers
J.Kearse

Harvin
He wants Cooper bad and I'm trying to get a Qb to replace Brees for now without using my Waver Wire priority or just snag Eli or Flacco and roll with that. Is it worth making any trade with him that could upgrade my roster.

Likewise. I took Dez over Julio in a toss up given both their injury history and Dallas elite OLine, healthy Romo, and defense that will force them to play from behind over Quinn's new D in ATL and subpar OLine. Immediately regretted after draft, thinking how they have a top 3 wr and failed to feed him until the end stretch of games last year while Julio simply didn't strike pay dirt in the red zone last year but still got his yds/targets

Agreed but should I really bank on Steve or any of my backup wrs to replace a large chunk of the weekly production I lost in Dez while holding tight with Gronk or make my play for a stud WR2 while I can and snag a TE who can give me 60 yds and a td every other week

I also have another trade on the table with me trading Gronk and Hyde for Alshon, CJ Anderson, and Jordan Cameron.
I like Alshon when he gets to full health with no more BM and hesitant about Anderson, who I passed on drafting in favor of Gronk, and hate Cameron with him being one hit away from retirement or unfortunately death.
We don't have divisions any more so top 6 teams make the playoffs. I'm never in favor of making big roster shifts this early but have a feeling If I don't make a splash move with the value I have right now, my team will sputter into mediocrity before Dez even gives me a shot.

My trade partner is trying to tinker now to avoid giving me Forsett(who he has been shopping to everyone lately) Offering Sanders, Olsen, T.coleman, and Percy for Gronk, Williams, and Gio
He has Forte and Demaryius at RB1 and WR1

Wanted to trade Gronk for a WR1 or a top WR2 and RB2 after Dez went down and Gronk at peak value but missed out on Eifert and ASJ in waiver order
Standard 10-team with only 5 bench spots
I Drafted 10/11- took Dez and Gronk
I trade - Gronk, T.Williams, and Gore
I receive - Olsen, Forsett, and Sanders
My team as of now is
Qb- Wilson
Rb1- Hyde
Rb2- Gore
Wr1- Evans
Wr2- Williams
Flex- Blount
Te- Gronk
D- St. Louis
K- Gostkowski
(Bench is)
Rb- Gio
Rb- Sankey
Wr- Allen Robinson
Wr- Decker
Wr- Steve Johnson
IR- Dez of course

Thoughts if I should jump on this or hold serve and roll with what I have for now
