Not really. That drought summer down here a few years ago, when it was 106 every day, it was tolerable in the shade. In the sun it was hot but you didn't sweat like being in a steamroom, like you do when it is 92, high humidity, and the dew point in the upper 70s-80. The humidity is the killer.
