re: Saturday Down South: Next SEC Head coach firing

If SDS says it will happen, assume that something very different will happen. That site is the worst. Very little research or understanding of their topic matter. Almost never a good source.

I guess UGA, UF, and Tejas are the biggest underachievers. The Vols may catch them soon though.

My moniker should increase the chances of getting access. He's the worst coach Mizzou has had in 50 years.
As for hazing, I've been married for 10 years.

If Oklahoma bans Nowledge, I'm pretty sure the nubs will never play them again. After all that's what the N on the bug eater helmet stands for.
Problems with Access to a Forum

Anyone know how long it usually takes to get access to a forum? I requested access to the Mizzou forum about 48 hrs ago and I don't have access yet. Do I get an email or something? How do I know when they gave me access?

I think the easier way to say it is that you can make it into the top 10 but making it into the top two or three is very difficult without top flight recruiting. So, if you're from one of the teams that won a NC in the last 10 years you probably won't look at this as a good idea. If you're from anywhere else, you probably like the idea.

A couple of other things that drive this for Mizzou.
1. Pinkel really does have his own evaluation system and sticks with it. If a kid is a 4* with the services but Pinkel evaluated a 3* ahead of him, he's recruiting the 3*. This happens once or twice a year on average.
2. Players from Missouri or backwoods locations like West Texas who commit to Mizzou early in the process don't typically get upgraded to a 4* even though they have that talent. Aldon Smith and Denario Alexander are the two best examples of this. Smith was probably a legit 5* but came to Mizzou as a 3*.
I love it because it keeps Mizzou in on very good recruits. You also have to consider that even with these slights from the major services Mizzou has still gotten some very highly ranked kids over the years and almost never misses on high end 4* or 5* talent that make it to campus.
I get the feeling that Petrino was doing almost the same thing with the hogs back in the day. Wisconsin seems to be doing something similar under Alvarez. It seems that the schools that can do this are almost exclusively not on either coast. Probably due to less media hype.

I'm an expert in bad coaches. Perl is not bad. Not great either, but there are only two great hoops coaches in the SEC.

Surprised Penn State is not on them yet.

I have no idea. I'm a Mizzou fan and everyone looks like a final four team.

Weston MO. Great Irish Festival every year, Distillery, Brewery and Cigar Maker all in a quaint river town of less than 2000.
