No one knows his limitations and deficiencies more than Lane and Charlie.
He had plenty of troubles vs Miami and we are going to give him plenty of more.

Yes. Its a problem. But lets stop talking about Carius Curne.

Unlike some of the posters here, I do think this is a fair question.
I think these two, with Pop Houston are the three most important pieces to this recruiting class.
If we can secure both of these kids and keep our current class intact, I think this will be one of the best recruiting classes we’ve ever had, (when accounting for the portal.)
Easton is by far the most important five star offensive player in this class. If money is an issue, take it from any other five star offensive player you were offering.
In my opinion, the difference is, Easton and his family really like Austin. So it’s not just meeting the financial offer. He loves LSU, too. So we’ll see.
With Brewster, I think you just have to be able to meet the finances. I think he really wants to play at LSU.

My first game was also against Mississippi State, but in 1973. Mike Miley was the quarterback and we won 26 to 7. I was eight years old.

We lost on Brendan Sorsby—uphill battle, lots of money spent by TTU—did we lose on any others we really wanted? Not many.
These are the types of recruits who used to love LSU, say all the right things, and still commit somewhere else. Seems like those days are much more rare!
Geaux Tigahs!

In our heavy sets, we could have Lamb and Bryston as TEs and Deuce Geralds at RB. ????????????????????????????

re: Any worry with Weis not seen on recruiting trail?
Posted by Honestabe1809 on 1/30/26 at 5:12 am to 7Tiger7
I am not worried at all.
With half the offensive coaches at Ole Miss, the LSU machine led by Kiffin was able to do a great job of recruiting in the portal.
Charlie Weiss is young, smart, innovative, and marketable. He’s going to get a good job somewhere. I hope the offense is so good next year that he gets a head coaching opportunity.
There are other young, smart, innovative, offensive minds that just aren’t as marketable, but are definitely in college football having success. Every one of those guys is going to want to come to work with Lane Kiffin.
Not only to learn from Kiffin, but to get a great job like Weise will probably get.
Great success precipitates change. it’s part of nature.

His speed has never translated to the field. Now, to be fair to young Caden, there has never a good running scheme since he’s been here. Even the Will Campbell and Emory Jones line did not run block well.
Hopefully we’ll see better schemes, better blocking, and better performances, and everyone will finally realize how talented this kid is.

I can be critical…and I am not scared at all—what kind of foolishness is this? That’s hilarious!
Jayce Brown, Tre Wilson, Winnie Watkins—I’d put top 3. I like the kid from Hawaii and Old Dominion after that.
IMO to have Jayce ranked where he was in that ranking is evaluated wrongly. But no one knows. I don’t. You surely don’t.
We’ll see. Just like I said!
