re: Your IRL encounters with celebrities

Posted by lsuoldft on 4/26/25 at 10:40 pm
I used to travel a lot for work and have seen numerous celebrities. Best occasion after theater at Joe Allen’s in New York. The table next to me had Al Pacino, Diane Wiese, Harvey Keitel, Bianca Jaggar, Robert Duvall, and Edward Norton. 4 Oscar winners. I didn’t speak to them they were having dinner. Once got asked to leave a restaurant in Nashville when one of my party talked to the Dixie Chicks while they were eating.
I am 73 so 43 or 103. 43 yeah. 103. No not enough women in that age group.
Didn’t he hire the gymnastics coach as well?

Had a woman I knew from high school who had a waterbed. Boyfriend murdered her and put her body in the waterbed. Took a couple of weeks before they found her.

I agree. It’s a shame when a young man in his 40’s ends his own life. I do understand how someone can be tired of this world. At 73 with a bad back and constant pain and unable to do many things I love doing, I am weary of life but so far my concern for the effect on my family has kept me here.
I use thinly sliced Tasso. Will add shrimp or crawfish sometimes. It’s always a hit
My family is spread out all over the country. We don’t travel for Thanksgiving. Usually have small groups of 4 or 5 in different cities and eat at restaurants. Last few Christmas dinners together have been prime rib and lobster. I am not cooking this year so I don’t know what my adult children are doing. We will be in Perdido do it could be anything
Nixon in 1972 at Senator Ellender’s funeral. Clinton at a rally in Memphis in 1996. Obama at a White House party in 2010. I also met Carter at a book signing after he left the White House
I have bought and lived in 6 homes. Still own 2. One in Florida on the beach with no mortgage and one in New Orleans. Loved each one of them. They were
Yes. It’s cause he is a libtard. Some of you guys can’t watch a sunset without complaining about politics

My go to is Old Fashioned but I always ask for it on the dry side so I can taste the whiskey. Sometimes all you taste is sugar. I do order Manhattan with rye. Sometimes I order perfect Manhattan. It has both sweet and dry vermouth

The one I always heard was he was running against a car dealer for governor. Told the crowd he is a mighty fine fellow, mighty fine. If I was going to buy a car I would sure buy one from him but if I was gonna buy two I would go someplace else. Two cars would be too big a deal for him.

Would any of these give me some lower back pain relief without making me high?
