Not so sure your Notice of Allegations won’t arrive by April and you’ll be probation next year. Last year’s magical run has consequences.
Salt Lick, you are a disgrace.

Hooboy! We're gonna be great.UK doesn't own Rupp, the city of Lexington does. Rest assured, the $250 million renovation that was supposed to happen 2 years ago is still a very contentious issue involving the state legislature, Governor, city of Lexington and UK. It's a complex marriage to say the least.

Kudos to "Northwest Arkansas" and whatever towns comprise this region for having 8K a game.

This is Lexington and there's minor league baseball and more things to do than the average "college town."

My dad and I are driving down. It's my first football game in Ttown. Any food suggestions?

You and I both know you're not a UK fan. Please quit posing as one.

I live in DC, but make it a point to get to at least one game away from Rupp every year. Last year for example, I drove 8 hours down to Columbia, SC just to see us destroy South Carolina. Not only was it the closest conference game for me, but knowing that almost half of the arena would be blue and that it would be an opportunity to party with other UK fans beforehand made it worthwhile.
In the minds of a lot of UK fans, seeing the Cats on the road is even more exciting than seeing them in Rupp due to the party atmosphere that surrounds the game with fans who otherwise are stuck watching them on TV. At Rupp, most of the fans are season tickets holders and are used to seeing UK play. Simply put, when UK comes to these SEC arenas, it's like the circus has come to town and everything is extra hyped.

I agree with this sentiment. In fact, I hear we're completely disbanding our basketball program. Next year's #1 recruiting class will be released to sign with whomever, but most likely LSU now.

You absolutely don't speak for most of the UK fan base. That's pretty pathetic you take a 3 point loss to a team like Auburn and give up on the season. It's very clear to me you're new to following UK football and have unrealistic expectations. Do you really not see the progress that is being made with this program?!?!
It's easy to be a UK basketball fan, but try growing a pair and learn what it's like not to be a bandwagon fan when it comes to football.

I wouldn't guarantee a win over UK. We get them on a Thursday night in a couple of weeks. We'll be 4-1 and Commonwealth with be nutty.
We have no shot whatsoever. [stroking UF's ego]

I'm predicting 7-5. Our defense will be better due to overall depth, but we're still a year away on this side of the ball from being where we need to be.
Offensively, there's tons of speed and our O-Line is the best it's been in years. A lot depends on Towles, and frankly, we're going to have to win a number of games in shootouts to compensate for our defense.
The stadium upgrades will echo the improved product on the field and help increase the general excitement for the program. I'm chocking up L's to Mizzou, Auburn, and UT, but our stadium will be electric for those games and should hopefully go down to the wire.

Sept. 12 at South Carolina W
Sept. 19 Florida W
Sept. 26 Missouri L
Oct. 3 EKU W
Oct. 10 Open Date
Oct. 15 (Thu.) Auburn L
Oct. 24 at Mississippi State L
Oct. 31 Tennessee L
Nov. 7 at Georgia L
Nov. 14 at Vanderbilt W
Nov. 21 Charlotte W
Nov. 28 Louisville W

Probably proud, how many players does UT have in the NBA period?
I absolutely love this thread because it's so subjective and very few of us, if any in fact, have spent enough time in all 14 cities/towns to weigh in on this list with great credibility.
I think some folks allow "football gameday" to cloud their judgement on ranking these cities/towns. I'm trying to rank based on experiences, or perception for those places I've yet to make it to, and most importantly, overall quality of life, healthy economy, etc. In other words, can I see myself living in these places?
Having said that, here's my two cents based on places I've been combined with my desire to visit the others:
1. Athens - Been, and right there with Cville, VA
2. Nashville - Been
3. Oxford - Never been
4. Auburn - Been, went to grad school here
5. Lexington - Been, went to undergrad here
6. Fayetteville - Never been
7. Tuscaloosa - Been
8. Gainesville - Never been
9. Columbia, SC - Been
10. Columbia, MO - Never been
11. Baton Rouge - Never been
12. College Station - Never been
13. Starkville - Never been
14. Knoxville - I've been too many times

Keep dreaming on Coach Cal leaving. Butch bolts before anyone.
Cats go 8-4 this year.

I won't be anywhere near "the best," but the new $125 million renovation to Commonwealth Stadium will be super nice. CWS
Add the $55 million new football practice facility, and UK has a great setup. New Practice Facility

UK finished 11th in the country in last year's Director's Cup Standings. And, AD Mitch Barnhart is currently a Finalist for National AD of the year. Great job of doing your homework!
