OP, I’m curious as to your test results. You described my symptoms perfectly from about a month and a half ago. Exactly the same. I had not traveled, but several folks in my office had recently been to various locations overseas.
I tested negative for the flu but was told by the doc I had the flu anyway. Took a dose of Xofluza and was mostly symptom free 3-4 days later, except for shortness of breath and an aggravating, unproductive dry cough that lasted nearly 3 weeks. My wife and 3 kids had similar symptoms all of varying degrees, mine being the worst.
I was convinced this virus had already made its rounds through our home. If your test comes back positive, I will be even more settled on that being the case.
Either way, prayers to you and yours for quick healing regardless of whatever it is you’re battling.
Agree. It sucks, but I like where we are currently heading. It would be better to have beaten Bama for sure, especially when we were in position to do it both times, but we are ahead of where anyone, realistically, thought we would be.

The fake punt was horrificly stupid. But, looking at it through a different lens, Kirby is changing the mindset of this program, which takes longer than just changing it’s player personnel. The entire Dawgnation (not the AJC website) had become indoctrinated with “good enough”. I’m not saying it was an a accepted mindset, just one we’d gotten used to. Kirby isn’t afraid to bring the fight to anyone at anytime. The culture and mindset are changing. And, Kirby will grow and learn. I’d rather have an aggressive approach and take the lumps now, even as much as it disappoints at the moment. Kirby, albeit not the wisest of in game coaches (yet), is being aggressive. He will mature as a coach. His decision making will become more strategic and tactical, and his aggressive approach will establish and sustain a predator’s mindset. We’ll take our lumps, but the overall mindset is changing. We have hoped to win for so long, but we are ALMOST to the point of expecting to win. The players are there, and the rest of Dawgnation is coming around.

Who might this be?

I thought, “ The plan is, there is no plan”, was coach speak to tell the media to quit worrying about it. Unfortunately, it has proven true. Going into battle without a plan is reckless. It’s amplified when your biggest weakness is the lack of a true field general.

Losing is one thing, but we often find the most painful ways to do it.

We are young, hopefully our core grows a lot through today’s experience.

Mike Bloomgren?

He was mentioned last year. Are the insiders saying anything about hi me as a likely OC option? His reputation, west coast ties, and O scheme would certainly appeal to Eason.
More importantly, he's established and consistent, and would be a great compliment to CKS defense.

Everyone has opinions, just like everyone makes mistakes. Intentional or not, we ALL lack good or rational judgement at times. I am not the least be supportive of Gurley's choice to do what he did, but I don't fault him either. He's a KID surrounded by temptations that 99% of us would be unable to resist. And he's seen other big name athletes get slapped on the wrist for the same stuff. He could not have anticipated Allen would have ratted him out knowing how many others have signed memorabilia for him. Overall, Gurley has handled himself like a MAN, period. He made a kid mistake, but he's fessed up and taking his punishment like he should. With regards to him wearing a "Free Gurley" t-shirt, why not? I'd have fun with it too. Life's too short, and he knows he's potentially one play (and injury) away from never playing again. The dude messed up, don't sell out on him. Once a Dawg, always a Dawg. If we don't stand by our own, no one else will, I guarantee it. It's easy to support someone when they're doing something for you, it sucks when they mess up. It's not easy right now, but stand behind Gurley, I promise you he's hurting because of the choices he made. He needs to know his family is behind him. I know the team is behind him, why not all of us?
Be angry, that's fine, but stand behind him. He's OUR Dawg! He needs us behind him just as much, if not more, than we need him on the field.

re: Does Chubb Deserve the Start?

Does Chubb Deserve to Start? Short Answer - Yes, he deserves it, no question.

Should he start? No.

To quote Herm Edwards, "Hello, you play to win the game". To do that, you play your best, period. Gurley is the best in the country at his position. You start him. He served his time, probably more then he should have, and now it's time to release him and let him drop the hammer of justice on anyone who gets in the way.

There's no question Chubb has earned to opportunity to start. He would be starting for most any other team in the country. But not here, not now. He will. And he will dominate.
He did something for this team that will make us better this year. He helped this team understand the concept of "team". Not in a teachable way, but in an emotional, "in the trenches" kind of way. This team now believes in themselves, not just in Gurley.
So yes, he deserves it. But it shouldn't happen, not yet.
With mediocre recruiting overall under CTG and a lot of experienced attrition, I would argue the defense will be fine. Although, none of us are satisfied with where they are at the moment, they have not given up "the big play" like they always seemed to do under CTG, and even though there have been some wide open receivers, I've noticed that we're quick to get on them and we're much more consistent with tackling. With what he inherited, CJP is making progress. We have to remind ourselves it won't happen overnight; as frustrating as it might be.
Truth is, the young/new players are learning a new system and college football overall, and the returning players are simply relearning the fundamentals that CTG neglected. Baby-steps...
And no sign of fatigue from ANYONE in the 4th quarter! :wha: :wha:

....my how things have changed.

Of everything else you've already written (that hasn't been read), this sums it up perfectly.
You're attracted to women, but hate them at the same time?!?

Honestly, bro, how do you even take yourself serious?

Meet the right one, or hit puberty (whichever comes first) and your attitude will change. Trust me.
Can't speak for everyone, but it's been well over a decade and all I can say is, I am content...

...She know what I need.
In simplest terms, you can workout/exercise all you want, but without the right eating habits, you will just be hiding, or "over insulating" any muscle tone you may have.
As far as training, the most effective approach is to incorporate high rep weight training with high intensity (interval) cardio. Honestly, running is overrated.
For dieting, the easiest thing is to cut out the sugar.
You can build from here, but if you started with this you would see a significant difference within a week or two.
