re: Saints asking for 2 1st round picks for Payton

There’s two of them.
Will Anderson & Jalen Carter.
I guarantee you Arizona wants to get one of them as well.

Arizona not giving that up.
Payton will be heading back to fox it looks like.

I honestly believe Payton is using AZ as leverage.
I’m confident he’s going to Denver imo.

In a world where the new rookie contract scale/CBA exists. Draft picks meant WAY less 20+ years ago than they do now. You guys need to stop using that as an example. This isn’t 2002 when teams hated first round picks because of their high cost, the 2011 rookie pay scale drastically changed draft pick value.
Chargers could maybe swing over their 1st if they’re that desperate, but I don’t think it’s a chance in hell Houston or Arizona give up their picks. They’re far behind talent-wise compared to the Chargers.

Because you actually need good players to also be competitive? Which Arizona is lacking a lot of.

“Pretty good team”
Pretty good teams don’t draft in the top 3.

re: Payton to the Chargers?

I don’t think Arizona would send their top 4 pick for Payton, period. I honestly don’t think any team in the top 10 picks would send their pick for Payton.
As much I want that to happen, I think people are being a bit delusional in us getting that high of a pick back.

It could be the Cardinals, but I guarantee it won’t be their top 4 pick.

They would, but I think people need to stop deluding theirselves expecting a top 4 pick back in return.
re: Sean has a job. You don't put together a staff unless you have a job.

Agreed.
I think it’s a lot of delusional talk going on here thinking any team in the top 5 or even 10 will trade that pick away for Payton.

Better job-opening: Stanford or Georgia Tech?

Which intrigues you more?

Who is worse at their job: Josh McDaniels or Jimbo Fisher?

Both have been way below-expectations.

Should the Big 10 rearrange their divisions?
Posted by DVontel on 12/4/21 at 10:15 pm
The Big 10 West is 0-7 in the B10 championship with soon to be 0-8. I might be wrong, but it feels like Iowa & Wisconsin are the host in most of them.
Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, & Penn State being in the same division is unreal. Which of these teams would you switch with in the West?

What was the best or most entertaining year for SEC football since you been alive?
Posted by DVontel on 6/12/21 at 6:22 pm
Factoring:
- Ranked teams
- Most competitive games
- Individual campaigns
Anything else you can factor. What year do you think the SEC truly the most entertaining

Who would you rather have as your HC: Kirby Smart or Jimbo Fisher?

If your team was on the market for a HC & these two were available, who would you rather see your team hire?
Bigger disappointment: Tom Herman or Jim Harbaugh?
Posted by DVontel on 11/27/20 at 7:23 pm
Two of the biggest misses I & probably others have made. Thought both would at least have ONE playoff appearance, but alas, just hasn’t been there.
Who is the bigger disappointment to you?

South Carolina went 33-6 from ‘11-‘13, but surprisingly no divisional title

I’m honestly surprised looking back at it.
What crucial games were loss & what games could have gone the other way with just one bounce?

For the previous decade, what year would you say the SEC peaked the highest?
Posted by DVontel on 5/23/20 at 11:35 pm
Looking back, I think the SEC in 2012 was awesome.
In the East, Florida, Georgia, & South Carolina all being top 10 teams for a solid stretch. Vandy was decent this season, too.
Bama & LSU continuing their dominating ways, but came in A&M with a great season led with their Heisman winning QB, Johnny Manziel.
I remember there being a 3 week stretch of UF-LSU-SC all playing each other. All top 10 at the same time, too. Insane.
Probably the most competitive year in the SEC as a whole in the previous decade.

Starting from their rookie years, who would you rather build around: P.Rivers or C.Newton?

Topic.
LSU fans. What has been the better rivalry to you the past 10-15 years: Bama or Florida?
Posted by DVontel on 1/16/20 at 9:56 pm
I’m quite curious to see what your fanbase thinks has been the better rivalry.
Some might say it’s obvious, aka Bama, because of the hype
But I also think the LSU-Florida has also put up some REALLY great games over the course 10+ years.
What do you guys say?
