LCA

madam, DPH is quite the accomplished gumbo creator.

DPH, that’s an acceptable substitute!
No pressure. I just enjoy seeing the various types you create.
BF:cheers: I’ve been in court a lot. Need to take some time. We’re moving to a new office this weekend. Every lawyer should be required to move every 5 years. The stuff I’ve tossed!
Be still my heart! Slag! :daughter:
Good afternoon, all.

I had some salmon and a salad.

The case should disburse next week. Is that convenient to you?
Sure, Skillz. How much do you need? I mentioned that I recently settled a case for a lot of money so I’ll be coming into a bit of dough.

Let me know.
GRT, it’s nice to see you. I’m hanging in there.

Yep, when we get your new digs I’ll be popping those bubbles!
I had a salad.

I just finished bubble wrapping all of my diplomas and bar/court admission certificates. I’m as bad at bubble wrapping as I am at present wrapping. But it was an enjoyable and mindless chore.

Enjoy lunch, all.
Excellent gumbo choice, DPH!
Bullfrog

DPH, looking forward to seeing your gumbo selection.
Good afternoon, ms!

I had a salad.

re: Coat and tie in the office?

In my younger days I wore a suit and tie to the office every work day.

Now, if I do not have court appearance, a deposition, or a client meeting, I’m casual. Today I am in shorts and a golf shirt.

Over the past few years I have noticed that in depositions some lawyers attend without a coat and tie. This is true in Zoom mediations, also. I consider depositions and mediations court appearances and always wear a coat and tie (although it may be a blazer rather than a suit).

I go to the office in casual attire whenever I can now - but keep a dress shirt, bow tie, suit hanging in my office in case I need to make a court appearance or meet clients.
Good afternoon, SH.

I had some salmon and a salad. I came into the office today to catch up a bit. When I went out to get my lunch I was able to see some of the WWII aircraft practicing for tomorrow’s flyover.

It’s 98* right now and the real feel is 117*.

During these days I think about the men, on both sides, who fought at Gettysburg. How miserable must it have been in those woolen uniforms in the midst of that battle?

Everybody enjoy lunch, stay cool, and be safe! Time for me to head home.
Good to hear, PJ.

Things here I the capital area are the same - looney!

I had a court appearance in crazy Loudoun county today. It’s where it’s ok for boys to use the girls bathroom. Fortunately, the courts are still good.

Cell reception is bad. So, it’s time to get back to the office. Be well.

Skillet - always good to see you, too.
Hello, Skillet/ all.

Boring lunch for me. I just got out of court and I’m having a couple slices of pizza. That should spike my glucose level.
