I've been gone for weeks, only to return to find such scintillating conversations.
Good evening, all.

Great, now in my head all of Eddie's posts will be read using Herbert's voice. :banghead:

Not even kidding, yesterday, at a Walmart in Missouri, I walked by a bin stuffed full of Auburn pencil cases marked down to $0.10 each. I actually stopped to see if there were other teams available, but they were all Auburn. They'll sit there forever.

re: 80s music videos appreciation thread.

Video Killed the Radio Star, although it was really the internet and the subsequent availability of downloadable music that dealt the fatal blow.
Also, this was actually released in 1979, but since this was more of a comment on music videos than an entry into the appreciation thread, I decided to let it fly.
Also, although video is alleged to have killed the radio star, MTV has been strangled by reality shows.

re: Does anyone watch "At Midnight"?
Posted by Dawggy_Style on 4/29/14 at 6:05 pm
I watch the first 3-4 minutes that are shown at the end of Colbert Report on my DVR because Comedy Central's timing sucks rocks.
I really enjoy it, just haven't bothered to actually record it on purpose.

re: Outside the SEC Rant main board, which one do you visit the most?

Georgia board during the season, here now.

That's the ticket! Stay positive, come back with an unbeatable plan. (6th wish should totally be for an arsenal of tiny squirrel weapons because the manufacturing feasibility has me concerned a bit.
Also, the random downvotes tonight are hilarious! I'd totally understand if only my posts were receiving a downvote (I'd understand, but it still makes me a little sad) because I clearly jumped the sanity track almost two hours ago. The funny thing is that a variety of posts are receiving votes.

Not at all, I'm merely trying to keep everything aboveboard. On the up and up. On the straight and narrow. Clean, clear and under control. Up, up and away. Follow the yellow brick road. Other random, cheerful phrases.

Maybe I need to drop back a bit, recenter, rethink, redevelop, retool, workshop the idea, brainstorm, plan for success and all that jazz. The world might not be ready for the mesmerizing spectacle that is Squirrel Dome:Extremely Agile Entertainment.....or whatever I called it a few minutes ago.

Well, I know I said I would be willing to back up your stories in order to validate your claims, but I'd rather keep my distance from this particular discussion, in order to avoid awkwardness.

Have you considered the possibility that someone (perhaps even a rant-loving Lutheran minister) staged the ethereal voice from the heavens as part of an elaborate prank? It's only a thought, of course, but if it proves to be true I'm sure you'll look into the consequences of impersonating our illustrious and revered leader. One might think such a crime might be punishable by banning. I'm not saying your friend DID impersonate a higher power in order to ridicule you and your followers when you delivered unto us your heavenly message, I'm merely suggesting that you consider the possibility.

Assuming you are able to validate this claim, we should discuss this further. If you would consider a partnership, I believe we could come to a satisfactory financial agreement. I can see you becoming a very important member of Team Squirrel Dome:Awesomely Deadly Entertainment, or whatever it was I called it a few minutes ago.

How much would you be willing to pay to watch two squirrels duel to the death with tiny guns?
Maybe we've been looking at this wrong. Maybe the money to be made is in the promotion, not direct sales. That actually makes more sense, squirrels don't have a lot of discretionary income.
So, how much? $40? $50? More? Would you be interested in securing season tickets to all events at the SquirrelDome:Extremely Awesome Entertainment venue?
