It's actually a lot more fun sharing in the success of your schools sports programs than 4-44 Billionaires who you have little to no access too.

Ask Oregon and oklahoma state whether or not the two are related.

alabama right now is dominating. but we put our backs into it...we're going to outspend them and then build a better team and then rub their noses in it. This is Texas By God.

I think you've got it backwards. If you do something stupid, you pull an Updyke and yell "Roll Damn Tide." If you do something smart such as win a Nobel Prize, THEN you yell "War Damn Eagle."

has anyone affiliated with either auburn or bama ever sniffed a nobel prize?

(in case you're wondering there are 5 aggies who've won that thing).

only a matter of time before our utter domination of the rest of the SEC west extends to football as well.

That time is already here. They're just either true fish, redshirted, or still in high school. Sumlin is raking in the top talent.

You know how they spell daddy in the south? its T-e-x-a-s-A-a-n-d-M

I agree. Keep that rivalry and history alive. It will be the only thing you have to warm your heart after we take over the conference.

How is that so and when do you expect to win the west? Inquiring minds would like to know.

the plan is to win it 7 times between 2015 and 2025. Thanks for asking.
i love how our tagalongs from up north have wreaked havoc on the SEC East.

A box drawn from Houston, up 59 to Longview, over on 20 to DFW, down 35 to Austin and then SA, then back east to Houston on I-10 would contain or connect 80% of the state's population.

and we about to put up a fence around it. :dude:
flash in the pan

where do most of the good qbs come from? (hint...its the state with the most advanced high school offenses).

Its only a matter of time before we are getting the cream of the crop.

1. Phil Knight is 75. How long will that nike money last. But they are a perfect example of how much of an impact the $$$$ make.

2. Agreed. Barnes and his men will ensure that texas will fall.

3. Stanford is rising. They're resources are fearsome. But as long as they maintain their academic restrictions they have a glass ceiling. Also, how much longer before liberal california de-emphasizes football because of worries over head trauma.

4. Nebraska is a nice job, sure, but will they ever be as good as missouri again? Demographics is destiny.
Saban knows the score. The intensity of his fan base's support is the only thing keeping his empire together. Once that fades away how can alabama ever compete? Soon college football will be like every other thing in the entire universe with texas dominating alabama.
Brother KaiserSoze, your rankings are retrospective.

If we look going forward College Station is clearly the number one job in the land.

Our agent in the governor's chair is maiming the longhorns (both the school and the football team) as we speak. We are ascendant in the state and will take that spot from them.

The teams above us on your list have cracks in the foundation.

Louisiana-Lafayette has rebranded themselves the University of Louisiana. How long will they let LSU run rampant over the state? Even taking 10% of the recruits from LSU will have a major impact on the fortunes of the bayou bengals.

Bama's days are numbered even more. That state is not so talent rich that it can indefinitely support two uberelite teams. In the past they made up for it because of the intensity of their fanbases and the volume of resources they put into play. But as the business of college football has grown into an industry, new players have begun to throw their full weight into the game.

In 15 years alabama will on average be an 8-5 team under the guidance of favored son, Coach Dabo Swinney. How can that state hope to compete with a state the size of Texas or Florida now that they have our attention? Its over.

In 15 years they will be nebraska. A fallen, once proud empire.
quote:

Bama fans seem to be really building this rivalry up. I cant imagine why... Can someone explain it to me?

The death rattle of a dying empire my friend. This is how the tide falls.
they're, their, there.

read aloud the chant is 'there there there' as in the words your mother cooed to allay your fears.

But your fears are real my friend. Or you should really be afraid.

Fast Fact
Alabama endowment US$631,947,260
Texas A&M endowment US$ 7.6 billion

more than ten times as big.

as the great kobe bryant once said."do not shake that tree, a leopard might fall on you"
Denial. It is not merely the name of a river in egypt.

I will admit I am an 'alter' this is the second iteration of my existence.

But my primary representation was not as a poster on this board but as Mehmed the II of the Ottomans.

In May of the Year 1460, Demetrios Palaiologos, Despot of Morea, embroiled in a civil war beseeched me to send him soldiers so that he could fight off the insurgents. Little did he know he had invited the lion into his den. By summer's end I would rule all of Greece. Demetrios spent the remainder of his days confined to a palace prison on an island in the aegean. After his death his daughter joined my harem.

Now history repeats itself.

Fearful of the money that the BIG network and the new PAC12 channel were projected to generate, and fearful of being left behind in a resource arms race, Alabama and its puppets in Birmingham invited Texas A&M university to join the conference seeking to add Texas TV sets and texas recruits to the SEC table. How foolish. How short sighted.

One does not have dinner with a bear, because (as LSU learned this last weekend) the bear may just decide that you are dinner.

Our fans are hungrier, our pockets are deeper, and our recruiting grounds are more fertile than any in the SEC.

I leave with you with three quotes.

“Demographics is destiny” - Arthur Kemp
“War is just demographics in a hurry.” - Gary Brecher, The War Nerd

and lastly

Daddy's home bitches. - Mehmed II
Scouts say saban rides players into the ground

No wonder all the players are trying to get agents while they're still they're - they know that saban (who once stepped over a miami dolphin player having a seizure) doesn't care about them.

This is definitely going to hurt recruiting. Even if bama gets by auburn and lsu this will be their last division title for a long time...
