I ran my first 1/2 marathon on Sunday and signed up early for next year's full as well. From what I understand, the flatter course here should be better than Austin. Hopefully the weather is just as good next year.

Congrats on setting a goal. Getting to the goal is most of the fun. I just ran my first half-marathon yesterday at age 36; hit my time goal too. 1:58:50. I already signed up for the Houston Marathon 2016, and will be doing another half later in the spring and the Houston Half Relay in October to gear up for the whole.

This weekend is both the Baton Rouge Louisiana Half & Marathon and the Houston Chevron Half & Marathon. I'm running my first Half in Houston. Excited, glad I trained at least some of the schedule and happy about good weather. Any other OT Runners in either race this weekend? What are you carb loading with?

I don't think head on collisions result in smoking tires flying different directions... that looks like lightening with the flash of light. The story around the video could be fake, but that is a lightening strike on a car in rain

Sad someone died, but the guy was resisting arrest due to the drugs he was selling. As he was dropping off fast food for dinner... husslers gunna hussle. These cases are not related, no matter how hard people try to make them out to be.
People need to stop confronting police, period. Especially if they've just robbed a store or sold drugs. Why are people so sympathetic for criminals who escalated a situation that would have been otherwise simply resolved from our system.
How about stop committing crimes. Just because a dad is dropping off McDonalds doesn't mean it's ok to run, sell drugs, or tussle with police.
