The departure leaves the Aggies without any scholarship tight end on the team heading into the 2016 season.

Did they ask him to play quarterback?

With all these transfers, sounds like time for TAMU to transfer Sumlin someplace.

TAMU doesn't throw to TEs. They use a 4 wide base and a good amount of 5 wide formations IIRC. Over the last 4 years the catches by TEs have gone down from 9 to 6 to 5 and a low of 3 last year. Might as well just move a lineman to TE and teach him how to halfway catch.

Hopefully he finds a school which has an easier off season conditioning program. When a guy stops showing up for workouts, it is clear that he has to leave.
