Former Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson announced that he is headed to North Carolina as a graduate transfer this week.

Johnson spent the first two years of his college career at LSU and transferred to Texas A&M during the transition from Ed Orgeron to Brian Kelly.

The native of Athens, Georgia, passed for 1,452 yards and five touchdowns in eight games this season before suffering an injury.
