Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens is expected to miss the upcoming season after suffering a "significant" lower-body injury during a scrimmage on Saturday, according to ESPN's Max Olson and Pete Thamel.
The former five-star prospect from El Campo, Texas, had an impressive freshman season last year, compiling 743 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, and was named to the All-SEC Freshman team.
He was expected to be a key contributor in Texas A&M's offense this season.
