The Volunteers went 8-4 this season, securing a berth in the Outback Bowl, which will be played on New Year's Day in Tampa, Fla., against Northwestern. Their eight wins are the most by the program since the 2007 season. Overall at Tennessee, Jones is 20-17.
A contract extension for Jones did not accompany the raise, according to the report.
