What Is Steve Spurrier's Favorite Steve Spurrier One-Liner?
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports
Over the weekend at a charity golf tournament in Tennessee, former South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier was asked what is one his own favorite one-liners. His answer was one abut a Georgia a couple of years ago...

“They were asking me about all those things I said, the Citrus Bowl jokes and Free Shoes U. stuff,” Spurrier said. “I told them I always thought the best one didn’t have anything to do with Tennessee or FSU. It’s the one I said about preferring to play Georgia the second week of the season because you could always count on them having two or three good players suspended every year. Everybody said, ‘Did you really say that?’ and I said, ‘Yes, because it’s true.’ ”
Here is the actually quote from 2012...

“I don’t know. I sort of always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended.”

Dawg hater first and foremost. I always laugh when I hear what he said about the Auburn library being on fire during a game between Auburn and Florida and he was asked about the books being burned. ... The real tragedy is that most of them hadn't been colored yet.
