South Carolina officially announced the hiring of a new tight end coach, Shawn Elliott, on Friday.

Elliot comes to Shane Beamer's staff after being the head coach at Georgia State for the past seven seasons.

Before his time with the Panthers, Elliot was on South Carolina's staff from 2010-2016. Per SDS:

Elliott has a 3-year contract, according to Alan Cole of Rivals, and he’s set to earn $750,000 the first two years, $775,000 in year three. Cole noted that Elliott’s annual salary with the Panthers was $811,000.
